Anyone notice that when you are in combat goats will come up and just sit there? preventing use of AOE WS.

Yes, I've also found this to be very annoying... Luckly as a LNC I can just spear straight ahead... but happens with the rock guys also : (

Not always(Usually never) an option, especially around the R20 leve camps. I can do most all of the leves just fine above 12, but there's no way in **** I'm killing a goat at that level.

In a way, it's kind of a cool thing, goats all curious about what you're doing(It is kind of what most animals would do). But they rarely want to stop staring, and will follow for far to long. Can really ***** with targeting, and of course prevents AOE use most of the time. I do leves with an Archer friend, and he has died so **** many times because of goats getting between Puncture, or wandering to close during Helix. It's just a hassle to deal with(for both of us).

Their "Interest" animation is the same as their "engage" animation as well, so sometimes, if you aren't paying to much attention to the log, you can only find out which is which after you are on the ground.

This all applies to Opo-Opo's as well...

This post got me pretty excited.. so i'm deciding to share some pictures of my goat, Valentino. He lives in my basement and my backyard. He has long horns now, and not nearly as cute as he was when he was a "little kid."

PS.. If anyone is in the Philadelphia and wants him, please take him. I totally regret allowing him into the house.

I love the goats not just the AOE I was in a party and she thought it was attacking her so she turned and bashed it. And got pwned in the process ;)

I haven't run into the goats but I've had the opo-opos run up beside me and get in the way. Sucks a lot on my marauder. Then there are times I start freaking out thinking I must used an AOE because the thing suddenly runs up to me mid battle with a squirrel or mushroom and looks like it's going to attack. They are like VT to most my characters so I know if I were to hit one of them it would end up being dirt nap time.

It seems they purposely did this, but why? Is this their attempt at making the environment seem alive?

I think SE just likes to give the sense that the world is not just a canvas that we run across but something that interacts with us. SE did the same thing in FFXI, too. (Goldfish in Sea, Lycopodia in the past.) In Sea, I know, it is a kind of aggro even though they don't attack, and summoned pets will attack them.

You think thats annoying? Go shoot one, run away, and watch how long it takes for it to lose interest. I guarantee you'll give up before it does. :<
