Where do you go to find a party in teens?Follow

Being away from the game for 3 weeks, my LS zoomed ahead. Now I can't find anyone to party with. No on in the cellars at all, shouting at camp didn't work. Partly due to low server population.

But where would I have the best chance of running into a mid-teens party?

Camp bloodshore - there were three parties out there on crabs on the islands near the tower today

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

Also don't be afraid to use the party search function. I used it today to find my party.

Another good spot is crabs near skull valley.

And, if you do party up with other people your level, get into their LS, or add them to your friend list.

I'll echo this, it's really nice being able to just auto join groups. Sadly most US players do not use the recruit function! do it people! Another little pet peeve is that most people don't specify a group location..very annoying.

On my server, there's about ~800-900 people on at 9 pm EST (what I consider US prime time) and about 2000 people on at 8 am (what I consider JP prime time).

When I use the party search function at night, I very rarely find any parties. When I take a look in the daytime (before I run off to work), I generally find 1-3 parties.

The search function is definitely something that the JP use a lot more than the NA.. but it's there and it works. I do advocate using it more =)

Thanks everyone for your responses. I was finally able to find some parties yesterday. Strangely it was easier to do during the day US time than in the evening.

But I guess I was too successful in SP gains, hit surplus/fatigue last night. Now I can't level Con for maybe a few days, Doh!

Not sure that's entirely legal...

The western culture has become use to MMORPG's that allow them to solo thier way to cap level is why they never use party search functions.

Asian based culture are group orinetated, hence why you see them using it alot more often.

Just cause you're a Lalafell, doesn't mean you can party with teens!

obviously you never played XI, you couldn't solo up to cap...well easily...you had to PT. And you can't really solo effectivly to cap in this game, @ about 25 the SP limit is just too great to try and solo.

Also to the OP. Solo till 20. Crab camps below 20 kinda suck...sometimes...also you can spend that time while you solo farming shards and synth mats. Solo till 20 than go find a PT.

I can't. I've tried. I really have. I just can't deal with the horrible, horrible style of play people are bringing to groups these days. They aren't even really in a group. They're a bunch of individualists with a healer or two to keep them alive while they whack away at things that they wouldn't have been able to kill solo. And because of the chat limitations + "no attacks= no SP", it's not even a social thing. I could handle a little comraderie and slower killing, or fast killing with some semblance of order and thought given to generic group mechanics, but it never, never happens. It's rare that any group I head out with has the same faces in it an hour after starting than it did when it was first formed. People do stupid things and die, or do smart things and wind up dead anyways because everyone else is trying to recover from something stupid someone else did, and then people start leaving.

It's like the early days of Sky roaming parties from XI or a really, really bad dungeon PUG in WoW every single time I join a group. I would imagine if confronted the baddies would find some way to blame SE for it. All I see are a bunch of people with no clue and if someone asks me why I don't use the party function, it's because I'd rather solo for 1k SP/hour if that's the best I can manage than waste time in a trash PUG.

+1 I completely agree, they need to overhaul party play or xp generation somehow...there needs to be a foundation to it instead of everyone for himself.

Now take a deep breath, step back and re-read what I wrote. Obviously, the games I am refering too are post 2004.
