Did you order your right of passage thing?Follow

If so, has anyone actually had the stupid thing come in the mail yet? I know, geeky, but wtf it came with the game so I went ahead and ordered it on the 22nd. ETA was 11/7/10. Still no "hide nor hair" of it.

Has anyone actually received this thing?

By the way, the game is really really boring. I love the graphics, love the scenery, hate the mouse-in-a-maze feel of the mapping, and am sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over and over with no real content.

And I was even one of the ones who kept saying the base game is great - it's new give it time, etc. Once free play is over though, I don't really see anything worth paying for yet.

whoops. I forgot about it. I guess that's how excited I was to get it. Where did i put that thing anyway?

There's always plenty for me to do... its just that... hmm. should i mine, craft, or sp? that's about it. Its one of those 3 things unless I'm repairing or looking for new equipment which is not really classified as boring but more like painful.

I guess that's what you're saying anyway XD

It should be. I don't remember it having a time limit on the ordering of it. Of course, by the time I actually get it, will I even be playing anymore? Who knows.

Nope.

I was going to wait and see how I felt about my 'new home town' Ul'dah but...since the story has me as an every day adventurer with no connection to the place why would I want a certificate for the place?

I ordered, but not received it either. Not sure what I will do with it when and if it does come in. I am hoping that sometime later in the game it will be good for something besides a drink coaster.

Basically for the CE version of the game in the US, you also received a code called the "Rite of Passage". What the code does is it redeems a little paper certificate thing.

http://www.eorzeapedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/ffxiv_ce_documents_v2.jpg

That's what it looks like. I didn't bother ordering mine, and I've heard if you alt f4 mid-way, it still uses up the code.

I think i have till march to send for it,after I seen some other region received a mug and a map and I got a coaster (book)and a napkin (rite of passage) it didn't seem special. If only the ladies love it I'll get it and pull it out all over the place.

It will look awesome.

I wasn't going to order it at first ,but ended up ordering it anyways in the faint hope that just maybe it might have some hidden in game use such as free airship pass for the character it's registered to. You never know, it is called "right of passage". still haven't received mine yet.

I ordered mine ^_^ and it said it would arrive in november.

Huh. nobody cares about it lol; i guess one man's garbage is another man's treasure.

I can't wait till it gets here =D . I'm probably going to hang it up somewhere <3 . Thing is, they wouldn't mail it to Puerto Rico (go figure) so i had to send it to my sister in Florida so she can send it over.

I can't wait. It's silly, but I love my character and i'm excited bout it ^_^

You need to be scholar (bolded blue name) or higher (Sage/Guru) to rate posts.

On-topic: I haven't ordered mine yet; I guess I should order it before I quit playing on the off chance that you need an active sub for them to send it. I still want my right of passage.

What I really should do is roll it up and make a tumbler out of it in an act of defiance.

Wow I wasn't expecting a seal on it, that's kinda cool. Still useless, but a lot better than I thought it would be. Hopefully mine comes in soon so I can put it in my XIV box on the shelf with my other games...

*EDIT*
BTW WTF was I rated down for linking the thread I'd made about this topic already and saying no one had recieved theirs? And why were other people defaulted for only posting they hadn't got theirs yet?

You should just lie and and say Lallafel, you could get hired under the Americans with Disabilities Act for like being absurdley short... Then again I guess Elezen would qualify you as a minority (not talking IRL race here folks, talking about the amount of players who use said race)...

I received my certificate yesterday.
It came in a plain white large envelope, and had a return address of Michigan (I live in the Philly, PA area). I forget where, and am currenty at work, so I'll check when I get home tonight and edit this.
There is absolutely no markings relating to SE or FFXIV on the envelope. SO be careful you don't ignore or toss it thinking it's junk mail. It is VERY unremarkable (the envelope).
The certificate itself was prtected by cardboard backing. It's cute, even if the personal info on it looks a bit out of place in contrast to the script on the rest of the page.

All in all, worth the minute it took me to register for it.

We (U.S.) didn't get maps or tumblers. We got a code for a certifiate- no mug, no map. We (U.S) got the little bound book with some concept art and pages for notes, a security tag, a code for the certificate, and a code for the Onion Helm.
That help cool your blood a bit? ^^

I ordered 4 of them (on different days), and today it seems the last one I ordered arrived first. I don't recall seeing a "one per household" or whatever disclaimer so I'm hoping the rest are on their way. Would really suck if I don't get the one with my actual character name and city on it. Picked a random name (Bayonetta Cerezita :D) just so I can have the full set.

Late reply but, it's like a stamp of information for where the certificate would be filed in your city-state, what classifications, and who authorized it (in that order). Pretty cool, it really is like a birth certificate for your character!

Mine arrived in the mail a couple days ago, too! The quality isn't disappointing, it's pretty thick paper with a nice texture, and the golden stamp was printed to look like a wax seal pressed by hand. SE showing they like to focus on the little details again, worth the two minutes it took to fill the information in. c:
