Hi everyone, please use this thread to give us feedback and suggestions on the FFXIV sigs!

Edit: Sigs have been made non-premium service. I was just told this today.

I'm going to assume there's some delay on the Auto updating since I'm actually Physical 3 Rank 2?

Drulian, I see you as Physical 3, ARC 2.

Ralrra, I'm not sure. I'll ask.

I have been considering resubbing to ZAM Pikko.

Just a quick question in regards to these banners, do they self update as you progress or do we have to do it manually?

It's been mentioned that we might have these be basic and free, while premium would have nicer backgrounds, but since this is our first roll-out, it's still premium only until we add in spiffier backgrounds and styles.

The sigs update automatically at a specific time each day, but I'm not sure when.

I think if your character is not on the Lodestone, you can't use it.

there are ones out there for free that look like those and some different. But we cant use them in our sigs on this forum for some ungodly reason.

God forbid a service that costs money to run actually charge for premium features. We wouldn't want them to at least break even now would we?

Well, that would be because allowing external linking of images is a bad idea for us in general.

Easily bigger than the FFXI ones. The avatar is a lot bigger than it really needs to be and there is a lot of empty space too. Really, everything could be scaled down a bit.

I know there is only so much you can do with a signature, and that the images are just pulled from lodestone, but these look IDENTICAL to the enjin ones everyone has been using.

I mean, come on now.

Hm, not identical. Don't think I've seen that site before. I actually like enjin's better, to be honest. Very streamline and the backgrounds/borders are pretty neat. Not raggin' on Zam's since they are just outta the box and still being worked on, but those aren't bad at all.

Too bad you need Premium to post images in your sig.

What I really wish, though, is that I could have one signature for the FFXI forums and another for the FFXIV forums. Whataru do, whataru do...

I have been planning to sign up for a few weeks mainly because I keep ZAM open on my laptop whilst playing on my main rig so I can easily look up crafting recipes etc.

Paying for a year was simply my way of putting my money up in response to the provision of a service. It is this "moral" obligation that I feel.

(it helps that I get a nice Sig as a reward though Smiley: lol and that I can now use smileys)

I have been using that signature on my LS's website, but I guess I should re-suscribe to premium on here anyway, seeing I use this site more than Tiger Woods uses strippers.

quite nifty, I love auto updating siggies... mainly because I'm lazy.

Not trying to be greedy... but I realllllly love Gray/Grey and it's a very base color. Maybe in the future we can have it as an option? (I suppose it'd have to be dark so as not to conflict with the borders. I'm quite happy with the rest of the features though, IMO it's the perfect amount of classes to show ranks for.

To be completely accurate, you can only use the Zam sig images, not just any image. I don't want people signing up for premium thinking they can put any image in their sig.

Hmm, yeah ok, they are bigger.

As for them being identical, our designer was looking at other sigs available specifically so that we could make them NOT identical. There really isn't much leeway for the general layout of sigs, so the actual design of them had to be where we differed the most, such as the size, guardian icon, amount of classes, and city-state icon.

1. Not a huge deal, but the size is just a little obnoxious. If they could make it slightly smaller, that would be great.

2. Does this mean that we can have free smileys, or at least poll options now?

3. I'll pay for a banner when I can use it to actually ban people. :P

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.
