But I had this thought... couldn't a low-ranked person (who doesn't have the same options) ask someone to escort them there? I mean, yeah yeah, you're putting a lot of trust that your escort is going to pay attention like they need to, or not run off with whatever arranged payment... but I would help someone in that situation. I've made those runs to Crimson Bark and Nine Ivies (not the ones in Uldah yet) and I know they suck, so wouldn't mind helping people through them.

You could get someone to escort you. If you could find someone. Or you could pay someone for a port there. Even if you haven't been there before, as long as the person doing the teleport has you can catch a ride.

Bad enough you have to do the run to some of these camps. For someone like me who frequently does local leves out of all three cities just to get my 36 hour quota of 8 20+ leves in, you could literally spend hours just doing the turn-ins even without the risk of death. I don't complain about the runs because it's something to do, even if I frequently get tired of it. And I don't really complain about the hostile mobs on things like that because most of the time you can get by fairly easily if you're attentive. But the idea of adding more hostile mobs to suit someone's twisted notion of "depth"? No way.

For the people who didn't read the explanation on the Lodestone page yet.

Quote:
Enemy Distribution

Q. The before and after screenshots in the previous Topics post illustrating the changes to the distribution of enemies made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. What changed exactly? And why are they gazing into my soul?

A. What the pictures come up incredibly short of depicting is an approximately 50% increase in the number of enemies. This figure is subject to some variation across areas. Soul-gazing may or may not be addressed in a future Topics post...

That part worries me a bit. There are areas where it is so congested with Mobs in narrow paths that putting 50% is ridiculous. Plus, what good will it do to put out 50% more Mobs that all show red? I had to go to Bloodshore today and on the way there were seven Island Crabs (non-aggressive or at least I didn't say around long enough to find out) on the road that you had to dance around so you could enter the canyon to North La Noscea.
