Another weekend draws to a close...

Poo.

But it's still time to report on your goals!

I wrote:
Armorer 29 -> 30
Do rank 30 armorer quest and hopefully nab another 300 marks from local leves for my next training book.
Do goldsmithing rank 20 quest (hit rank 20 last night)
Weaver 24 -> 25 on undyed canvas. Eep.
Blacksmith 20 -> 22 so I can repair the new hammer I got for my armorer >.<

Armorer to 30, rank 30 armorer quest done, guild marks acquired and Sheeting Training gets.

Goldsmithing rank 20 quest done. I really enjoyed that one. Ties into the Ul'dah nation quests very, very nicely.

Weaver 24 -> 25 was a no-go. Undyed Canvas recommends Weaving Training and I'm learning that the difference between synthing with the training and synthing without is enough to have me hold off for now. I need another 800 or so Clothcraft guild marks to pick up the training which I may or may not get this week. Either way, I'm not blowing up all those shards if I can avoid it.

Blacksmith 20 -> 22...I wound up stopping at 21. I've got tons of mats and enough shards but that was already a lot of crafting this weekend. I'll plug away at it over the course of the week between levequests and most likely be 22 long before my armorer's hammer needs repairs.

As a related aside, my goal for this week is to not flame crybabies here on ZAM on patch day if the maintenance runs beyond the scheduled time and/or there are bugs/server instability issues after the patch. That's the goal. Can I accomplish it?

......

I'm going to try, and that's all you get from me. Best hope the patch goes smoothly, for everyone's sake ;D

Carpenter 29 -> 30, do quest and grab more training books. Just got cheated 1080 Goldsmith marks from the quest so don't feel like grinding it anyhow.

I hit r30 Carpenter and got a silly hat as Parley reward. Was so much silly that I don't know if I should complete the quest (and probably the hat will be taken) or not, 3k guild marks is tempting. Basically I spent entire weekend thinking about that and did nothing else :P

Pugilist 47->49.
Should be doable, I'm already halfway to 48.

Completed. Bit over 63k left to go and still have some energy left in me tonight.
Tomorrow's the big day for me. Very excited.

Fisher + Lancer to 15
Pugilist to 32, maybe...

Miserable fails, didn't even touch them!

On the other hand, GSM went to 5 or 6, ARC went to 16, and I've taken the Wood-wailer Armor from the R20 TAN quest for a little spin :-)

Oh, maybe this isn't a goal or anything, but I got a set of Velveteen items! And I still have GIL!

I'm going to try to get weaver high enough to make myself a woad-blue canvas tabard this weekend.

Goal: Reached.
I got Weaver to 28, Leatherworker to 25, made myself lots of woad-blue canvas gear, including late on sunday night, a canvas hat. (that was the main reason behind getting leatherworker 25)

My only personal goal this weekend is to get leather 24 > 25.

I got a few new LS members this week who just started playing, so my main goal this weekend is to get them all settled in and help them out. They were able to organize a SP party at r10 last night with the help of some of the older members, so it seems to be going okay. Mainly I think I'll start making lower rank gear for them and helping them find places to go kill things. We'll see how it goes.

Massive success on both fronts.

Leather 24 > 25, pretty simple there.

Got the newer members some gear and formed a LS party for them. We headed out to Camp Bloodshore and killed the moles around there. Everyone managed to get at least a full rank. Also got the new people talking in LS a bit more, always a good thing. Got some pics to go with it:

Killing moles as a group.

Duo with the newest member.

Yeah, I realize I'm using totally the wrong gear for lancer, but as a crafter my inventory space is rather limited. Instead I decided to just grab a lance and jump in with them regardless.

Also managed to get PGL 25 > 26. Wasn't one of my goals, so it was a nice surprise. Not bad for a weekend.

Carpenter R1->R10 Success
BlackSmith R40->R42 No go :(. Fatigue really sucks, only went 1/3 to R42. Stuck at R41 until fatigue reset.
Armorer R36->R38 No go once again, crafting all day really put me to sleep. Stuck at R37 for the time being.

I got Miner 16-18, Pug 19-22, BSmith from 13-15.

I am beginning to get bored with leve's and being bound by duty so to speak. So lately I am focusing on Blacksmithing and Mining Leve's only. Maybe a few R20's to get Guild Points thrown into the mix.

Today is my only day to play this weekend. I really just plan on fishing and harvesting, see how far I can get them.

I ended up getting Fishing and Botany both rank 10-12.

Hmm.. forgive me for not quoting my original... can't seem to find the thread.

Goals were:
Get top 4 crafts to 20 and Guilded, and possibly get Triangulate V for Botanist.

Completion:
Botanist: Triangulate V... Completed
Leather : 19 to 20 and guilded ... Completed
Alchemist: 19 to 20 and guilded ... Completed
Weaver : 17 to 18 ... Incomplete
Carpenter: 17 to 18 ... Incomplete

First, like I had figured, I lost a lot of time going in to work overtime at my rl job Saturday (and karaoke the night before). Positive not: those overtime hours equate to a year's subscription to XIV.
Once I did get on, I grabbed the leves for Leather and Alchemy... but once I had burned through the leves to push those (and to get last needed Botany guildmarks), I didn't have anything left to give Weaver or Carpenter a boost, let alone 3 levels each.
I was just running on my own mats shards and crystals that I had stocked, and they began to dwindle. On a positive note, I cleared some inventory space. :P
Then I started getting tells to join in on leve monster-smashy goodness, so I ended up doing a lot of that. After the last set earlier tonight, I started wandering around as Botanist in the grade 4 area and ended up hitting rank 41... so, bonus.

My goals were to get Thaumaturge closer to 17 and to level Alchemist a little too.

I did get closer to 17, but didn't have time to play as Alchemist.

Not the best of weekends for me.

Having up to this point had no problem playing in windowed mode, I am now greeted by the dreaded black screen so many have mentioned. I eventually got on yesterday evening but by then all willingness to play had gone.

On a side note, I did manage to gain a few ranks in alcohol consumption.

Well, I'd ideally get goldsmith from 12 --> 13 and armorer from 12 --> 13, fairly modest goals!

Actually, I did slightly better. Got GS to 13 and Armorer to 14!

I took lancer and gladiator from 0-10. Took Marauder from 0-7 and pugilist is still sitting at 6. I bumped carpenter from 13 to 14 and my physical level from 25 to 26. For me, a pretty productive weekend.

I'll be happy with a single level up, and I might switch back to GLD or something and rank up to 10. I just down't want to rank anything past 10 right now for obvious reasons, and I haven't had much time to work on my PGL. I do plan on logging in at the very least to join a second LS that should increase my chances of activity when I log in at odd hours of the day.

Well, I didn't level. And I didn't rank anything DoW... But I did fiddle with Leathercraft like I said I would the week prior. Obviously I didn't get far, but I did complete 3 of 4 Leves. I just need to read a bit more about crafting honestly. I played with it in Beta, but by play I mean "ripped it out of the box, tried to force it to transform into a giant robot and the wheels fell off. Then I stuffed it back in the box so no one would notice".

I didn't get a chance to run into my potential secondary LS either, but I have a feeling with the 4 day weekend coming up the odds are good I'll get it sorted before next weekend. ^.~

Get a Govt. job ^^, on a serious note the weather isn't looking good for this weekend and I kinda plow snow this time of year. I may be lucky to have a 1 day weekend. My goal is a late night Thursday or Friday which would put me around normal evening time for the US. I'll send random /tells
