They're doing an average of one update a day. If this is a new requirement for the devs from management, I like it.

Agreed, although they have been rehashing things they have already said.

In other news, XIV needs something like this.

Something worth leveling for....

They may not have all that much new info every day, but I think they finally understood that they need to communicate with users.

Yea, compared to the old old SE this is definitely a worthy change.

The almost daily updates are an awesome change from SE. I like it alot! No more waiting weeks for information on an update.

This is one of the reasons my wife and I went ahead and started playing last week. We'd been put off by beta and the CE release screams from the players and were going to wait til the PS3 version to hit to see if the bugs got worked out, but after following the updates and Dev diaries they were putting out almost daily, we took a gamble and got it last week (60 days free also helped with the decision some Smiley: lol If they keep their word they'll get our monthly fee's again for 5 years Smiley: tongue

I think the increased updates might just be due to the update coming this week. They're trying to generate more excitement. Regardless of the reason, though, it's a welcome change and hopefully it will stick around.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

One problem down, a lot to go. But at least its a pretty significant step forward.

I wish they had race specific emotes. Like a pet emote for the cats, the /comfort emote now just looks like a slap to the back of the head :/
