If you could take just 1 NPC from FFXI!Follow

Well I don't know what sparked this random question in my head, but here it goes! Let's say the developers were going to take just 1 npc from FFXI and put it in FFXIV. Who would you choose? Would you choose them because of something they did in a mission (ex. Prishe). Would you choose them because you just liked how they looked? Would you choose them because of a helpful function or fun quest they offered (ex. Mog house moogle, or Maat for limit breaks if they were in FFXIV.) Explain your choice!

I hope you get the idea! Even if FFXIV doesn't support what the npc did in FFXI such as picking let's say a garrison starter npc, it's okay just pretend if you brought them over their function would work.

I would pick Ajido-Marujido from Windurst Walls because I really liked the summoner class and would like to have one in FFXIV ^^.

Ajido-Marujido was not a summoner; as minister of the Orastery, he led the War Warlocks. Mayhaps you're thinking of Karaha-Baruha?

My pick is actually Ajido-Marujido because I admired his dogged pursuit of the truth regardless of the political consequences. He had the right amount of attitude and the smarts to back it up without being overbearing like his predecessor Shantotto. Finally, even though his motivation was often misunderstood by others, he was always concerned about the safety and well-being of his nation and its citizens.

I looked up the summoner class starter NPC and that name came up. I guess I should have explained that since he started the quest for summoner I would like that NPC to be in FFXIV because of that reason.

Actually, it depends on where you are in the Windurst missions when you bring the Carbuncle Ruby to the House of the Hero. The cutscene NPC can be either Ajido-Marujido or the Cardian Joker.

Cid. He belongs in these games, and hopefully here he could design some new airships.

This, ten thousand times. Shantotto is the best NPC in the whole game. Followed closely by Naja Salaheem.

Cid will definitely be in this game anyway. You can't have a FF game without Cid (in some form or another), just like you can't have one without chocobos.

Shantotto no contest!

As a plus she had her very own questline and that's what she could bring to XIV.

also XIV needs some: "ohhohhohhohohohohoooo!"

Really? Of all the serpent generals, I thought she had the worst story. I for one enjoyed Zazarg because his story tied the areas together even before the WoTG expansion. Although Mihli was obviously the best, which was proven in her story by the ease in which she made it past the other four serpent generals.

Naja Salaheem gets my vote. She's just so wonderfully sassy and knows how to get what she wants or just takes it regardless! There's also something hilariously comedic about seeing a feline with a humongous steel mace.

Shantotto would be a close second though. She's probably more villainous than some of the actual villains, but all that rhyming does lend her a certain charm!

The guy who did that video was in my social linkshell on Garuda. Most kickass SAM I've ever met.

My vote goes to Zeid. I'll also provide a relevant Kian-made video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFiK6a8xeLw

I'd choose dragoon's wyverns and their cute emotes to adventure with in Eorzea! It just doesn't feel the same having a spear and no little blue dragon following you around.

I have to pick Lilisette. I loved her in WotG missions.

And who picks Louverance?? LOL! Our static used to call him "Log", cause we couldn't remember his name and one day someone called him that for short and it stuck.

Completely agree. That's the main reason I'm not leveling lancer seriously. It's just weird having a lance, but not my fluffy blue Wuffi chilling over my shoulder tossing out healing breaths and clawing at the enemy.

It's really hard, I don't think I can pick a singe NPC from XI. I really truly enjoyed so many of them. It was the thing that set XI apart from other MMOs. Not just that an NPC meant something, but the fact that so many of them kept coming back into my adventures.

I guess if I had to choose I'd flip a coin between Prische and Lion
