.... of my billing address.

I have tried for the last 2 days to buy a customized PC online, but have failed so far due to their restrictions on shipping and billing addresses. I am a student currently living in the US (the place where the computer would be shipped to), but my billing address is located in Puerto Rico. So far, I know that ibuypower.com does not ship, nor apparently accept "international" credit cards (which is funny, considering PR is a US colony, or territory). I also tried ecollegepc.com and for some reason, the transactions didn't go through (could have been a server problem, not sure).

So, my question is, could you guys recommend another good website where I could build and buy a PC from?

Thanks for the input.

Oh, I found a place called Digital Storm (www.digitalstormonline.com) that looks pretty nifty. From the looks of it, it does accept my billing address. Does anyone have good/bad experiences with this website?

Or you could buy/build a good computer from anywhere else and just throw an extra $500 in your toilet. Would accomplish the same result.

Try calling them and see if they will take a cashiers check. If that doesn't work, you said you're in School, surely there is some one you can make out a cashiers check or hand cash to that could complete your order for you?

If you can use Google checkout it gets around country of residence unlike paypal. I had to use it recently to purchase a new gaming tower over here in the UK because they don't take US credit cards online.

I'm a big fan of NCIX, but I don't know where they ship to.

For U.S. customers, please visit our U.S. site at www.NCIXUS.com. Unfortunately, we are unable to process orders outside of U.S. and Canada at this moment.

Thanks for all the help. I ordered a pretty nice PC from newegg.com.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227303

All I have to do is test it with the current memory, and add more in the future if needed. The rest of the details look fine to me.

Thanks again!

That is nice, have fun with it! I have a similar CPU and a GTX460 and FFXIV runs smooth.

nice specs :)

Personally, I feel like the latest intels are overpriced, but they sure are fast. I like the AMD Phenom II X4 965 black edition. I have one, and a few of my friends have them, they're more than powerful enough for FFXIV. Nevertheless, great choice.

Newegg is good. They have some full systems, some barebones kits(motherboard, cpu, psu, case) and then straight up PC parts. I built my current PC after ordering everything from newegg. Great site.

Tigerdirect is also worth taking a look at, they also deal in mostly PC parts. Not as many full systems as newegg.

If you want to customize your PC but have them build it like ibuypower offers, try http://www.cyberpowerpc.com

Good luck!

Why would anyone want an overpriced Dell ( well, even more overpriced than a regular Dell, anyway)?

Both over priced.

Dell is good if you want servers, its where I get them.

Depends what country your getting equipment from, novatech.co.uk are not bad pricing.
