Aldgoat Skin to as an alternative to Buffalo Hide?Follow

Idk about you guys but i have some problem acquiring buffalo skins. Yea i know they drop from poachers and some leve quests but paochers are a rare spawn and drops are also rare from them, in this case its rare x rare = super ultra rare drop.

In leves (at least Battle) you can get 1-3 if lucky from camp horizon and what not im forgetting. Still its far from enough for LWorkers to get after 25+.

With SO MANY aldgoats in this world and their skins having no use why not having them being used as an alternative to the same recipes used for buffalo hides? The same thing could be used to wolf skins and giant toad skins, since the amount of toad skins required to make or even repair items and the level of these mobs make anything crafted on toad kinda useless.

So what about you leathercrafters? What do you think about it? Goats are almost a higher level replacement from Dodos i think it would just fit perfectly for SE to implement this simple change.

Btw im saving all those milks idk why, am i becoming a culinarian and dont know yet?

Buffalo hides also drop from wolves if you're interested in looking for some of those to kill. They aren't that rare either.

As for using goat hides as a replacement for buffalo hides... Wat? Why would it make sense for a goat hide to replace a buffalo hide? Maybe I'm missing something? I've also never had trouble finding buffalo hides to use in crafting. Most lvl 20+ leves offer 2 of them in rewards

Problem for most people is that getting 10 hides or so in 1 hour isn't enough. Crafters eat though mats like there's no tomorrow. I go though 400 iron nuggets every 2 hours when I craft, and I am sure Leatherworkers go through 10 hides in about 1 hour. as well.

A hide makes 4 leather, and most recipe use at least 1 leather + 1 strap (12 straps for 1 leather), so:
10 hides a day if you're lucky = 40 leather. turn 3 leather into straps, and you're at 37 leather, 36 straps.

That's 10 synths (leather) + 3 lowbie synth (straps) + 36 finished product synths on top of 8 LW leves if you're serious about it.

You'll need more than that to progress at a hardcore rate, but it's not BAD for a multi-discipline crafter like me.

Now, we are all those buffalos for us to genocide..? We need to find our equivalent to Uleguerand Range :P

Hides prolly are dropped too by other mobs that don't make any sense, or just gonna be added to current enemies loot list. An example is the roselets dropping dodo skins(since there are no dodos in gridania, or at least not near them), or the wolves dropping sinews and hides. So who knows, maybe buzzards eat buffaloes remains, and they will drop it, or coblyns... we dont know.
