Verified Crafting Information?Follow

After reading through several posts, I was wondering: Just how much verified crafting information we have about the game so far?

Yes, we have the Lodestone updates to start off with, but how much else?

Here's a (weak) example of what I mean by verified:

Crafting Success results:
The amount of durability lost before any adjustments from other effects is the sole measurement in determining if the result is a success or a failure. The results are as follows:

0-6 Durability lost: Success! (Strong flash and sound)
7-9 Durability lost: (Nothing.) (Weak flash and sound)
10-?? Durability lost: Failed. (Explosion)
??-?? Durability lost: Failed. (Very loud explosion)

It's a weak example because I don't have all the numbers and it just BARELY crosses that line of "gut feeling" that a lot of information has, but it is easily verified with the requirement that you must NOT be under any sort of durability-affecting effect (Tender Touch, sparks, unstable element).

It does lets me draw the conclusion that both positive and negative effects that do not affect success rate are applied AFTER this determination, so using Tender Touch won't reduce failure rates. This is because the only time durability lost does not match the above numbers is when I am under Tender Touch or have sparks or an unstable element.

Anyone else?

>_>

Edit: Remembered number range of the 'meh' result wrong. That's what I get for posting from work. :(

Fails are from 8-11. Progress of 8-10
Complete Failures are 12-15. Progress of 2-4

These are normal syn without training needed and without any further penalties. (ie. You are severely below synthesis level, missing training, not using proper support, and element unstability.)

Those sound like fails while the Tender Touch buff is up.

I might be wrong but since I saw Progress 15% and Durability reduced by 14 I started thinking that it's not whether a synth is successful or not that influences how much durability/progress/quality it causes but the oposite.

I think acording to the state of the orb, choice of synth and Godsent you will get a certain progress and a certain loss of durability (on standard) and that will decide whether it was successful or not. I don't think that because you get a success you will then get progress between such and such...

This is the case yes. Some things also add a durability loss increase after the system determines the base amount lost like not having the appropriate training, sparks or being under certain unstable elements.
