It slurped up the last 4 hours, lol, yes it's good. I found a signature edition in a nearby Mediamarkt store and grabbed it. Only wish I could drive a Ford Fiesta, as a Ford Fiesta owner.

GT5 is awesome if you ask me. I have been playing it almost non-stop for the last 3 days. Though, I don't have an XBOX to compare it with Forza 3 but I love GT5 none the less.

Whoa, that's a fast UI all the way. Fast UI, oh my god, fast UI. It's a fast UI all the way... What does this mean? It's so fast, so efficient. Fast UI, fast UI, it's so intense.

But seriously, YES.

Also, it's a beautiful thing to get 36 wind shards for one measly little Rank 1 local leve, and 3 earth crystals for another. Tears of joy.

About to turn in my first rank 25 leve after I'm done posting this, but I just wanted to stop by and elaborate...

The new UI is so fast I went to open a menu and was so used to waiting the one or two seconds for it to open that I just sat there dumbfounding staring at it because it was there as soon as I selected it. I did a double take wondering wtf I was supposed to do with this menu that popped up the instant I told it to.

That's how fast it is.

Also, 3 wind CRYSTALS for my first local leve turn-in.

:O

Really smooth interface. Everything feels faster. Has anyone noticed though that the gamepad can't navigate through the new menus? Pressing cancel now closes the menu completely rather than just back tracking your menu selections.

Yeah its so good now, so Happy, its just like when they added Hardware mouse, and how laggy the software mouse is just Night and Day feeling. I can't wait to see what more UI changes we see in Dec and Q1 2011 patch.

Well as with every update this game so far, I need to run the game windowed after the update so I can allow stupid Mcaffee access for it so it can access the server but for some reason everytime I select windowed mode in the config tool and click save the tool crashes without saving the settings so I can't log into the login server even after allowing it from the popup I get when I alt tab. Stupid firewall for not cooperating and stupid config tool for not saving before crashing, it never crashed before this update.

I'll admit the fix is amazing but theres still a very small amount of lag at times. It's still not as fast as some other games on the market. I hope SE continues to improve it.

Fast as in "better than before" or fast as in "the average MMO inventory speed"?

If its the second one, then its a step in the right direction. Got a lot more to fix, but at least SE is listening.

You're all going to be quite sad when you go to trade items to your retainer. At least everything else is fixed.

The UI is not significantly faster. There is still a 2-3 second lag at the adventures guild.

The ones reporting the faster UI were the first ones to be on the server while everyone else is patching.

Once the servers start loading up, the lag will come back.

This was the same with Beta -> Release. Everyone was like, "The UI is SO MUCH FASTER" but the next day, when servers got full, the lag came back.

At least now we don't need to confirm every time we trade item with retainer.

Love the speed of the UI now. This is how it should have been from launch and I applaud SE for taking the time to improve this feature. The difference is night and day and I can say that my gameplay experience has greatly improved due to this.

Great update SE. I feel that you are listening to the users and I will happily keep my subscription active through the end of the year.

Just spent about 3 hours or so in the game, UI is definetly faster.

But it's nothing to blow ur wad over, it is still quite slow compared to any other game. BUT, I was playing at work on my laptop, perhaps when I get home I'll see a bigger difference.

UI is much faster. Even with load-induced lag there was a dramatic difference. Those functions that still use server authentication (ie. transferring items to/from retainer) can still take time to do, but for a lot of UI actions it's much, much faster.

I'd argue with you, but I can't see my server's population anymore.

Clever indeed, SE.

I found the difference amazing.

They've obviously transferred alot of the actions to not require server side authentication immediately before the step was taken which has helped alot and the extra servers added have definitely helped to some extent also.

Transferred items to and from retainers is too slow still but I can definitely live with that, I haven't tried selling items yet.

Looking forward to the content in the december patch, things are going places fast ;)

UI is blazing fast, went from ~2.5 second delay to maybe .3 seconds? Seems instanteous. I think it would be your work laptop causing the issue for you and some idiots above you claiming speed is still not industry standards.

I guarantee the people complaining came over from wow on a decent rig that benchmarked ~1k which is not recommended rig from SE and are saying its still not as fast as other MMOs.

I'll admit this game has lost a lot of my interest and i played other modern MMO's but i can't deny the UI speed is on par for any game near this graphical intensity.

Gotta tip my hate to SE for this update.

Ive only been on to check out if there was an improvement in the UI ..... boom! amazing (compared to how it was) I think with FFXIV we have all seen how SE can get ahead of their selves but also how they can do what is needed and listen to their fans :). Thanks SE, its like a wee mini Christmas.
