im german so my english is bad! i hope youll understand what im up to!

what is the idea of this econmy system in ff14?
i dont understand why i never can buy, or in the most case, the items/materials im lookin for, even after hours of searchin.
instead to improve the economy by sellin different type of stuff are the most players lookin on them selfs and
sellin only gear, in hope to mek fast money! this is preventing the overall craft progress, and in last consequence bad for the economy, so bad for all players.
the craft system is ment to be overlapping, that the server population should support each other with the different type of materials in each craft, but in reality the only example where this works fine is alchemist with coloring. but if you are lookin for the "small things" for other crafts you wont find them even in the marketwards, (if you are that lucky i am) because they are also overcrowded with gear!

why is there no auctionshouse instead of this marketwards?
and why so many sell only gear?
Love ah di way, di future are di top!
babylon you cant stop di ghetto youth from
grow dem locks!

When the search function comes in Dec we will have a pseudo-AH, then we won't have much problem finding mats.

The least they could do is stop requiring colored items for base equipment. I spent about 4 hours last night trying to find ochre buffalo leather straps for a Lv.9 axe. No, I didn't find them, even after asking at the Leatherworkers' Guild. Even with the pseudo-AH this might continue to be a problem. Most of the recipes need an overhaul, either in the items they require or the crafting rank needed.

Basically the economy is weird because balance is way off and they made too many assumptions that turned out to be completely wrong.

I kind of agree about the colored/dye stuff. Adding color to something should be an optional ingredient.

I do think unique colors should be very rare and expensive though.
