Ok I really would like to know, is this game going to be based around solo play? I guess maybe im lost or something but sky / sea / hnm content was what made mmos for me. All of these were party oriented organized play. Is end game here going to be solo also? Is SE building an online Oblivion? I really do like the idea of this game so far, well minus the isolation. But as for me if this is all I can look forward to is partying and tactics taking a back seat to solo play it would be nice to know now. While I am very happy for the "I love to grind solo crowd" I myself do not subsribe to that philosophy. I guess to cut my subject short is it worth staying around if you dont want to solo grind to a solo end game? I would bet there are far more people playing these games for the community than the solo play. Also I dont want to play the game only to find out that I am wasting my personal time, or am I building towards a awesome end game system like ffxi had?
thanks for your time,
Big Jer

All signs point to the game being group oriented.

See this is what I would have said but looking at forums and the way se has handled party mechanics so far I find myself questioning the assumption. Man I really hope for great things from this game. Wow is entertaining but I got tired of telling people to move out of the (insert color here) spot on the ground in raids (lol). What made ffxi great was it really was a group experience people learned their jobs by all of the parties I see so many hating on.
Was it a grind to get to 75 sure it was but it was a means to an end. I agree it doesnt need to be a xi clone but if it doesnt use xi as a guide then the new changes need to be better thought out. Wow apeals to casual gamers because it really gives huge rewards for minimal imput of effort or time. Granted I am a rabid gamer but I made 80 in 5 weeks there. I am of the mind set that leveling is the work you do to get to and enjoy end game content. I understand there isnt any end game content yet to get to but hope se fixes the sp gain problems for parties it would go a long way to showing us that parties are wanted and needed at some point.
thanks,
Big Jer
