People are leaving, servers are low pop and that's the game.

I hope they fix the game for you few, your proud ... you FF marines.

As for most others ... we will be playing cata, Tera, KOTOR ...

They had a shot, they failed.

Next MMO please.

The world.

Do your legs hurt from all that bandwagon jumping or have you been doing it so long that it doesn't phase you?

Mikhalia: and FWIW, my posts are 95% helpful, informative, or funny.
Mikhalia: only 5% or less of my posts are utter crap.
Tyapex: 393 posts of utter crap...
Mikhalia: Sounds about right.

I think it has flaws and needs more content but besides that it is a pretty solid game. There is already some cool stuff coming and probably more that we haven't even heard of or considered. I am most looking forward to the companion system thing and notorious monsters. And of course the day when i can ride a chocobo.

I am sorry you do not enjoy the game as much as others do. I hope you find fun in another game. But don't go telling me a game I enjoy is going to fail.

I can see ppl leaving for Cata for sure...but its an Add On...not a stand alone game or a "new" experience in any way.
TERA and Star Wars The Old Republic(not KotOR, get your information straight if you wanna flame ...)will be "new" games and OH Ma GAWD will you be shocked to see those will "fail" as well. Meaning of fail in this case...not getting WoW down...which will just not happen...AoC, Warhammer etc are "considered" fails as well...**** even FFXI would be fail compared to WoW...but...all 3 are still running?

I don't care if FFXIV will be considered a fail, if the game just continues and one day will reach the position where I want it to be "experience-wise" in playing. I loved CoP in FFXI...I would play FFXIV endlessly just for the "hope" that it will reach this state one day and I will be there to experience it.

And seriously...ppl always talk about how the game will prolly "not get new players with PS3 release"...fact...FF is a console franchise...fact...most FF fans are on console...fact...FFXIV is a hardware eating *****, which most "cnosole" players did not feed and rather wait for the console version...fact...even if the cnosole version only sells half the amount of the PC Version...those players will prolly stay and play, rather then the bandwagon pc players who just looked at FFXIV for 1 week, decided its crap and left for WoW...and why? Cause they will get a "finished" game by release, other then the pc version, which forced players to either wait for patches, or take a break and come back at a later time. Those not even considering to come back at some point...those are the ones I don't wanna see in this game anyway...FFXI and FFXIV as well are community experiences when it comes to content...and such players can eat my shorts, before I would like to experience anything with them...

The core of the game is fantastic and it'll be built upon.

Right now its a large sandbox world with plenty of crafting and fighting along with some massive and interesting (debatably) zones to explore.

I'm confident once content arrives it'll get better though it'll probably retain its status as a niche game, which is something I appreciate. We don't need it becoming World of Final Fantasy xD

Yep, neither Tera or SWTOR will go through this either, although people are already complaining about both games and being stifled by the so called "fanboys". I'm sure Cataclysm will buck the trend of BC and WotLK of having a month of great content followed by a month of average content followed by everyone being bored once more right?

Yea FFXIV is a failure just like every other AAA MMO to release since WoW.

The game isn't worth its subscription cost atm, that's for sure. Not really sure what they need to do though tbh, the fundamentals are there but the fun isn't. Will probably check back in 6months a year, see what's going on then.

While there isn't exactly a complaint formed here, this kind of thing is probably best located in the complaint thread as well. I see most of the forum has spoken their piece by rating this into sub-default. If you have some valid complaints about the game that you would like to vent please see the complaint thread stickied at the top of the forum. Thanks.

However, I do like some of the conversation going on here about how there are things to be built upon. If someone wanted to start a new, less inflammatory thread to continue this discussion that would be fine with me.
