And the barren chat.... well for those who play it or played it.. enough said about barren chat...lol
You know people say that but I always found it infinitely amusing, lol. It was entertainment (at the middle school level) at its best.
Anyway, back on topic: As much as I planned to have FFXIV suck away my soul for the next couple of years, it instead spit it back out in a matter of a week upon launch. So in my frustration I will be going back to WOW.
I wasn't even following cataclysms progression (development) until just about a month ago. I seriously had no plans on playing anything but FFXIV into the foreseeable future. Anyway, long story short, after looking into cata and how much new stuff they're adding (not just top end raids but almost completely redone leveling system from 1-60) I've decided to go back.
I'm sure I'll get bored of it soon at which point i'll pick up SW:TOR. After that fizzles out FFXIV may have had enough development time to warrant a return (I really hope FFXIV makes it through these next few months; it's going to be tough for SE to convince PS3 users to climb onboard).
This, this, a thousand times this. I'll be looking at FFXIV again around PS3 release to see if the complete games is finally there, but until then I have been enjoying WoW again and can't wait to play the new zones and content. This last patch (The Shattering) opened up so much interesting content and redesigned the old world so much that it's a blast, and it was just a patch that you didn't have to pay extra for.
I'm just really sour for spending all that money on the SE of FFXIV and getting such an unfinished product. I was warned, but I thought the naysayers were just hating. I was wrong. I'm still keeping an eye on this game, but it is also the reason I looked into WoW again after a long absence. They have to prove to me that the game is worth trying again, just like WoW did.
