Hey guys,
So me and my friend are getting a little bored of gathering/crafting our FFXIV lives away- and wanted to get back into our Dow/DoM classes...

I'm looking for some advice on where to go to skill up! Heres our info:

R26 LNC (me)
R25 Con (him)

I have provoke ability since I imagine I'll be tanking most the time, and also some self-healing moves as well (bloodbath, secondwind).. However, I figure with the new system focused on fast/easy kills we won't need a dedicated tank~

that being said, we're currently thinking of going to Nawa. Mines to farm Cobylns... anyone have any thoughts on this? or better places to look?

Hello. Im a rank 30 lancer and my friend is a rank 27 pug and we gain about 20k sp duoing our leves.

Just grab rank 20 ones and put them on 3-4 stars then grab rank 30's and 1 star them.

At the top of the hour we then duo a beheast usually in cassiopeia hallow and gain another 3.5k sp.

I know everyones complaining but i have a lot more fun leveling now, i get about the same sp/hr as i did in an eft party when i can get around 20k sp every 36 hours WHILE getting $ and faction points its nice.

Cool- Thank you for the tips!

Only main issue is.. we both use our leves for our gathering... Sweat of Brow + the "gather these 3 items" is pretty awesome skill ups : (

so that'll burn between 4-6 leves right there (depending on marks and such)

Johnsmith, are those sp numbers you quoted for leves while using Guardian Favor?

I was soloing coblyns last night in nanawa mines (25 thm). It was pretty good sp, 70-80 sp each and takes about 5 secs each to kill. Also you get tons of shards, and crappy ore which you probably don't need.

After an hour or two, two of my friends showed up (24 MRD, 29 PUG), and we started burning through coblyns (50sp), ladybugs (forget their name, but ladybug type, ~70-80sp), and molting diremites (~80sp) pretty quick.

Ideally, I believe the fastest would have been a duo on the coblyns, because they still yield 60-70sp at that point (I played with the MRD duo a little), and you can burn through them ridiculously fast. However, I don't think the respawn rates would have supported it.

Behest is a good option as well. My wife and I duo all the time.

LNC can wear some fairly heavy armor, and be sure you take advantage of options like Defender and Bloodbath from Marauder to help you out. Go with weaker mobs that you can kill quickly, but not so weak that you're just bored with it.

We are just into our low 20s now and we have been doing Behest in Emerald Moss (successfully duo'd or trio'd with a random third many times over now) and slamming through lone wolves, but they're getting weak now and we're looking for a higher challenge ourselves. We are going to start with mobs around Camp TranquilCoerthas next, I am sure.

Very cool, I was thinking of trying out Coerthas as well... Thanks for the help guys!

We are probably gonna try starting in the mines for a bit and see what we're getting...

I'll post our results!!

Well, we finished up the duo'ing.. wish we had a parcer to show the results.. but in general.. I thought it went pretty well..

We found a nice camp area on the eastern side... and the top priority was killing the Coblyns whenever they spawned...

If there were no coblyns up, we would kill a ladybug or two- then switch right over

There was no downtime, but relatively low sp (80-90) However- it was coming in VERY fast which was nice!!

Looks like something we are likely to repeat until we decide to try something new~

Okay, well for those interested, we timed it at 11k/hour at a Puk camp up north... walked mainly between Puks and some Cobylns south of there.... We were pleased with this amount and will likely return unless there is something better?
