Please do not read into this too seriously and bash my experience.
Fun post ^^

Today, i woke up and decided to take care of some of my regional leves today and do some behests with my ls.

After previous months of being frustrated with many features of this game (need i name them all?) mostly the recent sp adjustment for my rank 34 lancer, i found myself enjoying myself profoundly for the first time in a while.

The leves, routine as they may be, were enjoyable, especially helping my guildie get his Ripped Haubergeon on the most annoying quest where u had to kill absolutely nothing, yet we brought 5 members because we had no idea until we joined.

After follow the interesting creature and avoiding its line of sight after a few failed attempts of it spotting us in the woods near nine ives, my ls mate received his items. A somewhat annoying but silly fun task.

Next we joined with another ls and the 10 of us joined a behest near ives, all of us being rank 30-40. There were almost 50 mobs in total to kill, the seemless combat with moderate struggle and few deaths was the most fun i'd had in a while, remind me of ffxi days.

Afterwards, it was over, we disbanded and i went back to leves and mindlessly crafting culinarian to 30.

Bored and sick of the little content of the game, i decided to catch up and do my rank 30 lancer quest and rank 31 city-quest.
And this was when the real fun started...

Regardless of the games poor state, i was captivated by the game like the Final Fantasy series has done no other rpg or mmo has, and trust me i have played many. (no im not speaking of wow, not trying to bash but pre-response to first critic who comes at me with have you played star wars galaxies? everquest II? lineage? Yes i have).

The missions in this game are both intriging and thrilling, i enjoy myself on 90% of them and am hanging on the edge of my seat. Fighting the empire, discovering about my characters and path companions abilities and roles, forming an allinace with the pugilist guild to protect the woods of gridania. My addiction had returned, something i hadn't attained in a long long time.

And then... in more of an instant than a flash in a pan... I was back to mindless grinding.

God i hope they fix this game and it achieves the potential it has.

exactly. every storyline mission and rank quest i've been on has been greqat. like really legitimately fun. My first PUG guild quest had me shaking people down who owed money to the guild and ended up with me going one on one against a dude in the arena. fun stuff, but its way too few and far between.

ok SE you fixed the UI. more missions/quests prz.

Yes, multiple classes to Rank 75 i quit after CoP launched and i finished that expansion, tried some of the next but had lost my drive.

The city-quests and class quest in ffxiv i have to admit so far are better tho than 11 right out the gate.

It is thoroughly enjoying especially my 30 class quest, recruiting the aid of other guilds and rescueing chocobo caravans lost in the woods i must say for how early in the game it is fun and enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong tho the game is lacking much, there is little content and quests are far and few between.
