Bye-bye weekend, hello summary!

How did you do on your goals?

I had a pretty busy crafting weekend.

Armorer 31 -> 33. before I hit fatigue and stopped.
Alchemist 22 -> 24. busting up crystals for other classes.
Leatherworker 26 -> 27. Was already close to 27 and managed to push through with SP from local leves.
Miner 27 -> 28. Ranking up DoL classes is much faster now that there are rank 20+ leves out of every city.
Goldsmith 21 -> 24. The surprise adventure. Decided I was sick of staring at all the brass nuggets in my inventory so I got to work after armorer hit fatigue. And as my stockpile of brass nuggets slowly depleted, I started on a new stockpile of...electrum nuggets!! >.<

I also decided to try a rank 30 battlecraft leve as a rank 20 gladiator. I shouldn't have picked the one to gather vests from the poachers around Humblehearth. Died twice and only had 3/5 vests by the time the clock won out.

Your turn!

-Get Blacksmith to 18,
-Get Carpenter high enough to make myself bronze swallowtail arrows, (This should be around 18 to start them, I guess)
-Get Marauder and Archer to 20, so that I have every DoM/DoW to the first story arc,
-Get Miner to 20,
-Get Leather to 27 and Goldsmith to 28.

I doubt I'll be able to add "get Weaver to 30" in there and without going nuts.

Blacksmith got to 20! 2 ranks above target
Carpenter got to 15. 3 ranks short of target
Marauder only got 17. 3 ranks short of target
Archer got 21! 1 rank above target
Miner got 20!
Leather got 27!
Goldsmith got 28!
Alchemy 19 got to 22, which was unexpected!
Thaumaturge 26 got to 27! This one came right before I went to bed and was a very nice surprise.

As predicted, Weaver didn't hit 30.

All in all, I didn't get the ranks I predicted, but I still got a lot done this weekend.

I'm hoping for 14 -> 20 on both Conjurer and Pugilist (Fastcast and Prime Conditioning, plus I can do the quests).. I'll probably continue my 16 Blacksmith, and I'd like to get Miner from 29 to 30 to do that quest as well.. If I have any time after that, it'd be nice to sit down and grind on Goldsmith for awhile.

I was able to get all the ranks that I wanted -it was a **** of a grind though.. I'm glad it's over. Now I can enjoy the quests, explore random things, and start to finish up my aetherial gates.

Oh, forgot to add that I hit physical level 50 during this, I guess that's a nice little milestone.

Congrats to you guys.

Edit - for an example of the above, I just got lost reading those "tomes and treatises" in the Conjurer's guild. Nothing new, but I'd recommend checking them out if anyone hasn't. I thought it was interesting.

Not really sure how much time I have this weekend so I'm going to go light on the goals.

Leather 28 > 29
Pugilist 28 > 29
Weaver 20 > 21

If anything I hope to get leather up the most.

Ended up getting some time to play but...

Leather 28 > 29: Actually made it to leather 30, which was very nice.
Pugilist 28 > 29: Failed. Ran a few leves but that was it.
Weaver 20 > 21: Also failed. Didn't even touch it.

It looks like I got so sucked into leatherworking that I just kept going on it and ignored everything else. That's not that bad I suppose, at least I'll be able to make more gear now heh.
Variety is the spice of life. Except on Dune, where it's worm poo.

THM 12 - > 16
CON 13 - > 16
ARM 8 - > 10
Sentinel 14 - > 16
BTN 6 - > 10

And if I feel like it, get one of either Archer/Marauder/Gladiator from R18 - > 20.

* Thaumaturge and Conjurer are now Rank 16, bring on Protect, Shell and Stygian Spikes!
* Didn't touch Armorer or Botanist, due to an exploration trip where we found out you can't go past the door on the west side of Mistbeard Cove ><
* Sentinel went up to Rank 19, which was totally unexpected, but with the new dual SP system, pretty decent
* R18 Jobs got no love
* Leatherworker, although not on the list, went for a long Dodo Skin + Dodoskin Vamp grind, and has shot up to Rank 23, with about 6-7 stacks of Dodo Leather left!
* And as a result of that Leatherworker grind, Physical Level hit 40! Another Yay!

All in all, a very decent weekend.

Achieved it! I loved the quest for it too...its getting me even more exited for Ships now then I was before!
I also spent a good amount of time mass producing throwing spears/axe's and arrows. I may have become an arms dealer...

Mining 21-24 Stopped at 23 Fatigue was killing me
GLD 30-31 Still converting silver from the mining but should have enoulg to get to 33 later in the week

Of note I now have a much better understanding of how mining works, so it should make ore / sand gathering a lot more efficient. Fatigue is still winding me up no end though. I really dont see why the DoL classes are the only one with this punitive feature.

Carpenter 14 --> 15

Edit: Raised weaver and leatherworker goals, as I'm about to achieve the leatherworker original

Weaver 11 --> 13
Leatherworking 11 --> 12
Carpenter 14 --> 15
Alchemy 15 --> 16
Smithing 15 --> 16

And made some birdsbeak hammers, fortified birdsbeak hammers, ornamental bronze hammers, and a few others things either to upgrade my own gear or for selling.

Was the plan

Got about ¾ of a lv for LW
Archer didn't get anything accomplished

Suprises this weekend

Alchemy 15 > 17
Miner 9 > 10

Was helping out a ls mate with shards he needed in return for crystals so spent a while breaking them down to compliment the sub for my LW main. On the + side got a little over 2k LW guild marks.. so very pleased with what I accomplished this weekend.

I'll be looking for marks on PGL, MRD, GLD, & LNC hoping to get the 6k attack and 8k traits bought. That'll be an ongoing goal.

For grinding I'm looking at Weaver, Cooking, & think I'm gonna make Conjurer my main fighting focus for a bit. May mix it up or go all out on 1 of those 3...

Bought Prime Conditioning for PGL and got various marks on the others, but still working towards that 8k for those.(MRD's close) For grinding I mainly did Weaver, got to 39 and about halfway to 40.

I got goldsmith from 1 to 10. It's minor I know, but it's something. This made my physical level go from 28 to 29.

I should be able to get some serious time in the game this weekend. So I would like to do:

PUG 22 > 23 or 24
TAN 25 > 27
WVR 13 > 16

We'll see how much of that I can actually do though. I did farm a ton of wind shards so I really want to make the TAN goal if nothing else.

Lost nearly all of sunday so I didn't meet my WVR goal. Only got to 14 instead of 16. Good on the rest though, even got halfway through 25 for PUG thanks to a couple behests I happened to be around for when they started.

Miner 38>39 (I seem to be hitting fatigue very quickly, under 2hrs and only 15-20k sp)
Armorer 33>35 (This took up the most time)
Blacksmith 19>21
Cloth 17>18
Gold 11>15

I felt like I accomplished a lot, but looking back it doesnt really seem like that much :/

I'd like to gain two Physical levels, maybe one Rank in PGL... Other than that my goals are pretty loose. I have a few crafts I'd like to get to 10. I'd also like to get a R30 Leve PT together wihin the LS but I don't know if I'll have the time.

Well I overachieved, except for the R30's. My schedule just didn't work out with that of the folks on my LS. I did however form 3 succesful parties for behest, got 3 sets of leves done thanks to my log in to collect... log in another day to finish/collect/finish and log at the guild.

I got PGL to 24, I thought I'd be stuck at 23. 2 ranks in leather, 6 in gold, and took gladiator to 9 from 0... and I got 2 PLs as well so I'm more than satisfied with my efforts considering I only had a few hours to commit this weekend (had to get a few levels in GT5 and also just bought Arkham Asylum since Steam had a sale the other day... you know important, but pausable games that are non-gaming spouse friendly. I also achieved my goal of getting my wife hooked on a game... she did a few hours of Wii Fit for the first time in 400+ days, now to get her hooked on Mario Kart so I can get a bit more XIV time ^.^)

Getting kind of upset that most of my leves are giving me the option of either thm or mar marks... but other than that
Goldsmithing: +1
Gladiator: +1
Botany: +1
Mining: +2
Clothcraft: +3
Armorcraft: +2
smithing: +1
Physical: +1

as well as I have now completed the harvesting rank 20 mission.

Hoping to have goldsmithing and mining to 20 by next weekend, as well as getting smithing and clothcraft up to 15... (here's wishful thinking... Wife is getting tired of me playing already...)

Here's hoping I can make it to canvas fent, so I can start working on getting up high enough for buffalo leather straps:)... and I will finally be back to level on repairing my own gear again.

I was supposed to clean up my retainer inv this weekend and burn through yarn, but then I did more weaver local leves.. and got more bolls.. which led to more yarn..

So much for spring cleaning..

Oh well at least I took weaver up a couple of ranks, along with a few others.

My goal was 41 fisher.

I logged out last night with 11k to go for 41 fisher thinking I'll get that tonight, this afternoon I saw the emergency maintenance message and knew right away that I'm not getting 41 fisher tonight either.

I also got carpenter from 20 to 22 this weekend, sold off all the Dark Bass I had laying around, now pretty rare to catch compared to before the update. My last 5 stacks I raised price from 1k to 1.5k each and they sold within 15 minutes, I ran to tavern after putting them up to get new leves and came back to get some Elm logs I had and all the carps had sold allready. I should've priced them at 5k or more now that they're so much more rare to catch.

I also started the carpenter 20 class quest and the 34 story mission, haven't been near the carpenter quest location yet and I heard horror stories about the rank 34 story mission so I'm leaving that one alone for now until I can find a group to take my fisher along.

Pugilist 29 > 30 - Finally did a r30 leve, I'm loving the Necrologies or whatever they're called.
Weaver 26 > 27 - Found out Velveteen Scarf is lvl 21, but Velveteen cloth is 35? Also made my first canvas gloves.
Conjurer 1 > 13 - Felt I needed Cure, once I saw how easy it was to lvl, just kept going.

I also got the Official FFXIV PS3 controller for PC in the mail on Friday. Very nice. When I get tired of WASD, I just plug it in and boom... keeps this old man's hands from hurting as much on long walks. The handles are bigger than normal PS3 controllers, too. When you set it down, it doesn't mash the L2,R2 buttons either. Very Satisfied.

I dunno some of this was done before the weekend I think, but most of it was over the weekend. Productive.
