I've been a frequent forum reader of various FFXIV fansites and have generally liked Zam the best. So as my first official post I've decided to point out something that is present at any XIV forum and that I'm sure many are tired of reading.

I'm talking about all those never ending "Fixing FFXIV" topics.

"Lets find more ways on how SE can fix XIV"
"Lets compare XIV to XI one more time"
"Lets hear again why you are refusing to play XIV"

All these topics are basically the same thing with different names and I think that everyone has more than enough summed it all up. So why not move on already? Here's an idea:

Those who still want to read on this beat-to-death topic need only look here. These summarized statements seem to be the main points of many of the user posts from all the variations of this topic:

- "FFXIV needs more content"
- "SE has no excuse for such a poor launch"
- "Don't compare XI and XIV"
- "XIV haters stop posting"
- "Complaints: Grinding, chocobos, airships, new zones, (basically everything XIV does not have atm)

That's it. The point is everything that can already been said...has been said.

Those who want to move on with your lives check out those recent Lalafell posts, they're great!

So you decided to create a complaints thread about complaints threads?

I'm really wondering why people think this is LiveJournal or something. That is more aggrivating than anything else. I come here for information and news on FFXIV, not to hear a soapbox rant.

What value will this thread ever contribute to the FFXIV community beyond getting flamed, then locked and disappear into oblivion?

Right, let's post about what's available in-game.

Whoops, ran out of stuff to post about.

i consider each new thread about these topics to be a sort of benchmarking process, where we start fresh each time and maybe from a different point of view. you don't need to reply or even read. i check these out while at work and tbh... what else are we gonna discuss? there is no real content yet so...

You all know you're tired of writing the same thing in those topics. It's not like this is an off topic post and although it may or may not contribute to the community and I just thought it was something for everyone to think about. I really wasn't going for the forum-dictator-post-what-i-say.

Anyway, like it or not. You won't find me overreacting about any reply.

Let me make this simple for you: Your thread is worthless. It's not worth anyone's attention and not worth my time replying to again. I had hoped you would figure this out on your own but I gave you too much credit, a mistake I won't make again. Feel free to continue patting yourself on the back about your sh*t thread, however, you'll be the only one doing so.

Yeah and thank god there are complain against complainers postings.

Because topics like this, sir, we REALLY NEED!

This is a forum man, let people post their oppinions. I'm sure after SE or whatever company behind a game does a good job the people will talk about more useful things.

Wait, did i just complain about a complain about complains? Thats sad ^^

While I aggree there are times where censorship is recommended (ie adult content), I totally disagree with your request to censor CERTAIN complaints.

This game and every other game has issues, some of those issues are old, some new, some undiscovered. Do you really want people not to post about newly discovored issues?

If you read something you don't agree with or don't like, you can CHOSE to reply to it, or ignore it. That is YOUR right. You do not have the right to tell people what they can and can not say (with exceptions of course).

P.S. It's kinda funny that your first post was a complaint post. ROFL

To be honest most of the community has moved on from all of this.

This forum is hardly the flamefest it has been for the past couple of months.

SE has agreed to make changes over time and the people who are staying are staying and the ones who are leaving already left.

As I see it we're in limbo right now; we can't bash the game anymore (as SE has admitted their mistakes and is trying to rectify them) and we can't really defend the game as the aforementioned 'fixes' haven't been implemented yet.

Sure there are a couple of trolls on both sides hanging around and trying to stir the pot, but on the whole I think forum has returned to a cordial albeit cautiously optimistic state.

Its funny when people post on this thread talking about how pointless this topic is. You do know that when you respond, you are giving it a point and are bumping it up in the forums. If you think this topic is silly, then just ignore it. Its the quickest way to make a thread you don't like go away. May sound silly, complaining about complaints, but everyone has the right to get their word out there. What the OP said was true, to the point, and not rude. On a good bit of these threads, they are rehashing what has already been said. He didn't say what people had to do, just made suggestions. Like for people that want to move on can look at forums about Lalafell punting lol.

I personally think that its not really a bad thing that the same topics keep getting posted. Like was said by a previous poster, it is a benchmark, showing where we are at. I've noticed that the tone and what has been said in the different posts have changed over time. If you don't like people rehashing all of this stuff, then just ignore the threads. That is the best way to send those threads to a quick grave. Posting in those threads to say how dumb they are at rehashing old topics is quite silly. When you do that you bump up the thread and keep it going, kind of helping the OP in that way lol.

Sounds like a plot for the next Inception movie =P ( a complaint within a complaint =O ).

No but really I appreciate those who responded with actual reasons on why I'm wrong and ok maybe this statement:

"Those who still want to read on this beat-to-death topic need only look here" could have implied that I was trying to tell people what to do (which I wasn't), but like Ararmoire stated I was just suggesting.

Well not a good first topic to start with eh...? So about those punted Lalafell! (runs over to said thread)

No, it's only when 5 or more of the angry statement type looking for a mob to burn down SE corporate headquarters over a video game collect at top of forum it bugs me.I like to see well thought out complaints put up by forum users that SE can understand. Who knows maybe SE will reverse the discount till they fix it, FF14 will be FF11 baby and cost 7 bucks.

I'm just happy with the first page of this forum, being mostly posts about actual gameplay finally.

So yes, OP, I'm very tired of those threads. I'd go to gametrailers.com if I wanted a review of the game. Being that I already know I like the game, I could care less what anyone else thinks of it.

On another note; if anyone really wants SE to hear their ideas on how to make the game better, use the suggestion box located here:
