You mean like, more slots to put jewelry in? I doubt it.

I was referring to the point allotment you have for jewelry. You start with 12 points and most pieces cost 2 points to equip up until silver when it changes to 3 points per piece of jewelry. I'm wondering if there's ever an increase to the 12 allowed points to accommodate the increase in jewelry point cost.

Aren't there pieces with a 4-point-cost, too?
Which would mean the higher you get, the less equipment you can wear? O.o/

I didn't know there was a point cost. I learned something new.

If that's the case, then I would logically assume that you -should- get more points later on. I could be wrong though.

It would seem the hard cap is at 12 right now. It doesn't look like it increases with levels or ranks. I'm sure that will change with future patches though.

It wouldn't make sense in the long run to not have some method of reducing slot cost. Otherwise what's the incentive of buying 2x rings that give 20 DEX when I can buy 4x rings that give 5 DEX for cheaper... what's the incentive to upgrade...

Unless of course jewlery later on gives multiple effects for comparable slot cost.. From what I've had exposure to though there is no incentive to upgrade after brass?

You keep 12 slots, even at rank 50.

Rings that give +5 to each stat cost 3 slots each, allowing you to get a maximum of +20 to a stat with these.

Rings that give +7 to each stat cost 4 slots each, allowing you to get a maximum of +21 to a stat with these.

They are not useless. Without the boundary, you would see people running around with +6 attack, +28 strength, +40HP/MP, and whatever earrings give.

It is worth it to upgrade your rings (If you care about that sort of thing). Personally, I think the bonuses it gives is too little for the hassle it is to repair it, so I keep my rings (I have ~20 pieces of jewelry in my retainer) inside my retainer.

Also, other-statwise:
4x +5 rings = +12 Defense, +16 Magic Defense, +4 Evasion, +12 Resilience

3x +7 rings = +12 Defense, +18 Magic Defense, +6 Evasion, +9 Resilience.

I think the level 20-30 range really suffers from the 12 point allotment system as this is the range where most ppl are looking to upgrade from brass to silver equipment and finding that they will have to give up certain slots to accomodate the new silver pieces. (i.e. giving up wristlets {HP+} in favor of 1 acc increase, etc). However, like Meowshi beautifully summarized, the 12 point system in the long run does not punish smart players who prioritize and plan ahead when equipping accessories, but rather prevents overpowered accessory combinations.
