Hey I am now R25 THM and R20 CON and my only means of ranking up have been in parties and leves. I have been hearing lots of talk about behest but i have never done it before. Can someone please explain to me how it works and how I go about participating in it, thanks!

Just go to camp bloodshore a few minutes before the top of the hour (that one is my favorite behest by far) and wait for the npc to pop, once he does talk to him and get into the behest party. It's almost always a 15 man group. :)

behest is fun + decent SP + a crummy cash reward

It's also important to note the importance of having one person be the leader and mark the targets. You can only get exp for killing one enemy party at a time, so if you have people attacking whatever they see you won't get as good of an SP reward. The rule of thumb I like to follow is: if the name is red, it's safe to attack. If the name is yellow, leave it alone.

Actually, the cash reward ends up adding up to quite a lot if you do lots of behests. I think I've about doubled the amount of gil coming in just by making sure that I'm at a camp at the top of every hour I'm logged in to do a behest.

Generally, the cash reward is just more than double that of non-linked leve.

Behests are pretty good practice for playing in larger groups. It will help train you how to target....set up macros n such Exp is decent...and overall its just nice doing something in a large group.

But the gil...not good. I received about 3K last night out of Bloodshore. Pretty low compared to 8-18K I get from reg leves.

I agree it's fun and a good way to meet new people, I would be awesome if we got faction points or some other kinda of interesting reward.
