SqEx actually mans up and apologizes, I might die from shockFollow

SqEx did the right thing in actually apologizing for I believe the first time about the state of FF14. Previously they have "expressed regret" and "made efforts to improve the game" and "recognized the players dissatisfaction." This time they actually admitted that they were wrong. That's a big thing for a company to do and an important step to repairing the massive damage they have done to their reputation.

While I am pleased to hear such an apology from the company, that doesn't erase the fact that the game they released should not have been. I personally would like SqEx to take things a step further and actually offer a product recall and give those who want to a full refund of their money.

Is this a big risk? Yes of course it is. The company desperately needs money now but if they don't work hard to regain the trust of their players, people will simply not buy their products anymore (which is what I'm leaning heavily toward). For them to actually offer a refund would indicate a very sincere and earnest attitude toward treating their customers and players right.

PS for all the rabid fanboys/girls who flamed those of us who were trying to offer constructive input for the game for our legitimate complaints about the game, guess what? SqEx admits the game is messed up. Your jackass blind hating defense of an unplayable and un-enjoyable game sure makes you look good now huh?

Refund? Nonsense. You had all open beta to try out the game, and still bought it.

I have had enough of people like you coming here whining and crying, we get it, you don't like the game. So why don't you go and find a game you like and inflict yourself on another forum. With all that is wrong with the game there is still a lot to like, they have said things were not as they should have been and they are making tremendous efforts to turn things around. Just once I'd like to come onto the forum and not see every other thread devoted to some sniveling whiner who thinks they got a bad deal.

If you can't offer constructive criticism or ideas and just want to come here to bait those of us that have some faith left in the game, this isn't the place for you. Sorry about your $50, I agree you should have spent it elsewhere, have you tried WoW.

Did you not hear about it? SE hired the Yakuza to force these poor innocent people to go to the shop and buy this game. They had no choice. I think refund is in place.

Considering the game is still in open beta, exactly what did we get for our money?

A game is an investment, you chose to buy the game, you knew what you were getting into. (unless you didn't play the open beta), and now you either stick with the game as S-E is giving free time (anyway) until they meet player expectation, or you move on.

I bought FFX-2 back in 2003 and I hated the game. I thought it was the biggest piece of crap I've ever played. I never went (or even thought) to get a refund because I didn't like it, I considered it a bad investment and moved on with my life.

Personally, I think I'm going to break even between the money I paid for the game and the money I would have paid in monthly fees, plus I'm going to continue playing the game after it [hopefully] gets better, so I think I got a lot of bang for my buck, sorry you didn't feel the same.

The chance to play in a closed beta. Only cost you $60 bucks.

Anyone still ******** about their $75 "loss" needs a reality check. You will have to learn to deal with many worse financial losses in life (that are completely out of your control) than a $75 game that you don't like. Grow up and move on.
