With the low level of these recipes, does anyone else find it a little odd that you need drops from a level 35+ enemy? The lowest level enemy which has these is Opo-Opo's in the Mun Tuy cellars, but have a drop rate so low as to make it almost impossible to obtain. One of the bigger problems with crafting already is the need for high ranked enemies to obtain low ranked equipment (Take a look at the Hedgemole Needle for a prime example).
I'm not opposed to this for everything, but it's not as if we're talking powerful items. Most of these are in line with 'average joe' equipment yet still require drops from enemies which low ranked crafters have no chance of defeating themselves. A little more perspective from the devs might have been nice.
Still, in this case we do at least have an alternate way of obtaining the gear. While my crafting levels are sufficient to make it myself, you can bet the prices for dormouse fur will make it less viable than questing for it. Better stock up if you're not rank 30 yet, because prices are set to boom.
Edit: Just discovered an alternate means of obtaining Dormouse Pelts (for the fur). An NPC called Zaesoeya in Gridania just South of the Tanner's Guild sells them for around 30k. It's hardly cheap, but at least it's an alternative for those with the gil to try crafting their own gear.
