ok, ive searched alot about this problem and i turn up almost nothing, so i need to turn to you guys to try and help me out because this is the last thing i can do before i bring my pc to a shop and have em look at it.
before i start my complaint here is my build:
intel core i7-950
4gb ddr3 crucial 1333 mhz memory
HD 5770 graphics
winsows 7 64bit
and from what my bios tells me a WDC WD5000AAKS-0 hard drive.
now, befre i installed the mobo + processor + ram my computer was working. i even took out my HDD and installed it back into my old comp and it works.
the problem is, as soon as it gets to the part "starting windows" and the little orbs start coming together, it stops, blue screens with some writing on it (goes by so fast i cant read this), and then restarts. this repeats over and over.
i can go into the bios with no problems, it only stops working at the starting windows screen.
i have the feeling it is my HDD that is not compatible with that stuff, but i can not test to find out as i don't have a spare HDD. i have a disk with drivers on it for the dx58so but obviously can't use it as i can't log in to windows. as far as i know i the disk shouldn't be the problem, but i don't know that for sure.
if anyone has any ideas what i can do, i would really appreciate it, because i would rather not tack on more $$$ after i dished out some bucks for this new build.
also as a side note: i do not have the CD key that goes with my windows 7 because i get free software from my school and did not write down the key after installation (yeah pretty dumb i know), so if anyone knows of a way that actually works to find my key without paying even more money that would be cool.
