Attention Crafters and Adventurers of the ZAM community!

We are looking for your help to keep our information current and accurate. With today's update brings new monsters, NMs, items, and recipes. How can you help?

We need:
* Screenshots of the new monsters/NMs
* Locations of the new monsters/NMs
* Loot drops as well as primary element of said mobs/nms. Element can be determined by the Shard a mob drops 6 of.
* New synth recipes. Preferably in the form of a screenshot of a local leve reward, but any verifiable info will also work!
When available, the shard requirement and a close approximation of the synth rank is always very helpful. Letting us know how much experience you get from a synth is the best way to approximate this. Also, as far as rank goes, mentioning when you're not able to perform a given synth at X level is handy too.
* New levequest rewards. Items only please, no gil amounts.

This sort of information is always needed, not just for today's patch. You can always post this information in the given item/recipe/mob/leve's database page. For today's patch, feel free to post the information here until the given data is programmed into our database. Thank you to all of you who've already contributed by posting information in it's given DB page. You guys help out more than you realize when you do this, and your contributions do not go unnoticed!

I have posted quite a few recipes I've obtained from levequest rewards or synthesis attempts others have done for me (though some seem to have been missed by admins entirely). I never thought of actually screenshotting them though... I'll keep that in mind next time!

I'll be happy to help except for the " Location " of NM's. FFXI had a history of "camping" and I refuse to aide anyone in doing so in FFXIV. The Leve related NM's will take care of themselves.

Hopefully SE has already addressed the aforementioned issue, but I'm not holding my breath.

When do you get access to info about the new guildleves? I remember hearing you have some sort of automatic database updater for this sort of thing, or maybe I remember wrong.

I quit playing XI back in '07/'08, what happened to those giant .dat mined lists that were posted the second the patch went live? That no longer possible with XIV?

We have to manually look through all of the new comments posted by everyone (in a handy list at least). It can sometimes take time for us to get to them. Smiley: smile

I don't think the "6 shard" thing applies, unless you have adventurers soloing these NMs.

The best way is to see all three shard drops, and sees which does not belong on the triangle. (Will have two from one triangle, and one from the other triangle)

This is on the ZAM devs, rather than Pikko/Me/Wint/Vlor/Thayos. I know they have a pretty busy workoad, but they are good about getting the updates up in good time.

Ok found some new items not one hour after logging in.

First off I got a Worm-Eaten Seneschal Coatee from a Rank 30 Battlecraft Leve in Humblehearth the one you fight the squirrels.

Here are the stats on it:
Screenshot

I also had my fiancee model it for me on her character as shown (on me it wasn't so low cut lol)
Screenshot

I did a crafting leve and when I turned it in I got a recipe for Leather Espadrilles (Black)
The recipe is:
1-Brass Nails
1-Soot-Black Leather
1-Buffalo Leather Strap (Black)
1-Hippogryph Sinew Cord
1-Pair of Leather Outsoles

I recieved roughly ~220 SP per synth at rank 26 Leatherworker

Here are the stats:
Screenshot

I also snapped a pic of them as close as I could on my tiny lalafell(sorry they look so small)
Screenshot

I'll update more as I find it!

Anyone found any non-uber level NM's so far? Been looking around but no luck as of yet. I hope they didn't relegate NM content to those that are near max level onlySmiley: frown

I am guessing chamois leather is made from Blue Antelope Hide. The icon for Chamois is slightly blue. It is probably a combination of hide and some kind of wood chips. Experiemtn to find the right one. Spetch is then made from Chamois

Wonderful... a rare quarrying item from Tier 2 is now required on a Goldsmith recipe to make an item to repair my Iron Needle which only an appropriate level blacksmith can do. Thank you S-E... thank you...

We had a group of about 13-14 people doing some leves last night. On the leve "Wanted: Alvara Sourkiss" we got a red treasure chest at the end which yielded a Scarred Kite Shield and a Rusting Scutum. I'm not sure if the amount of people in the party had any effect on the chest contents.

So...on par with buffalo and wolf leather. I'm surprised they would put a 3rd leatherworker material on the same tier. I'd be more interested in XP gained rather than SP. XP is more reliable in figuring out the estimated rank of a recipe. Thank you for posting it though!

To contribute, I've gotten a Torn Coif from a rank 30 leve which I believe is new. I'll post the stats when I get home after work.

I've just got my LS blacksmith to craft me 3 iron needles and ill just treat them as disposable and npc the broken ones when they go red. 1 Iron Nugget is so much less costly than trying to repair with the whetstone

Just a small contribution on my part..

I got a Goblin Mask from a Goblin Thug near Humblehearth today. Experimented on it with LW and turns out you can synth Boar Leather Spetches from the mask.

Takes 10 wind shards and produces 3 spetches. Didn't actually do the synth cos I wasn't sure what rank was required. My LW rank is only 23.

Just another small contribution although its speculation at best.

I have found on FFXIVpro that someone posted a recipe for Cotton Halftop and Cotton Pantalettes.

2 x Undyed Cotton Cloth (I'm guessing you can sub a colored cloth here)
1 x Dew Thread

Quote:

First Material: 2 bolts of undyed cotton cloth.
Second Material: 1 spindle of dew thread.
Third Material: 1 circle of slate-grey sheep leather.

If based on this earlier post, perhaps all the new undergarments can be made by replacing the hempen cloth with cotton, and all the yarn with dew thread.

Unfortunately I'm not high enough weaver to make dew thread, and its kinda hard to find. So if a higher ranked weaver could confirm the above, that would be great!

*Edit*
My 34 Weaver friend made the undergarments for me! :) He got 200+ SP for the Cotton Halftop and 337 for the Cotton Pantalettes. Also we tried the recipe for cotton breast cloth and cotton pagne but we both were not high enough LW to even attempt the synthesis. (He is LW 24). Therefore, I'm guessing the theory of replacing above said materials should work pretty well.

Wow...I'm just now learning about the fish + lightning shards = crystals thing. Someone mentioned it in LS and I thought it would be an alchemy synth of just straight shard type <a> + catalyst -> crystal type <a>. So on a lark I bought three stacks of lightning shards when I came across them in someone's bazaar for 50g each.

**** I hate fishing D:

In regards to the new crystal/shards alchemy thing, someone in my LS posted this spreadsheet on our forum. It lists all the fish types and the combinations that can be used with lightning shards and crystals. Looks like they are going to get much more expensive

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ar0ZU4EmWjjTdEJ4V1Rpa1laZkxkT0Jhb3JscnFPTGc&hl=en#gid=0

I believe the author is a person who plays a character "White Mage" on Wutai. I don't claim anything in regards to it or take any credit for it.

Thanks - this is a good list but it is missing black sole -

no idea what rank this is (I didn't try the synth cause I am pretty sure I would blow it up)

black sole - uses 2 lightning crystals to make 6 lightning crystals.

I have only caught 1 of these so far - it is a really rare fish as far as I can tell.
