Improvements to existing LS featuresFollow

So, I was re-reading some of the early updates notes that came out prior to the nov. patch and this kind've jumped out at me. Got to talking in LS about what would really improve LS functionality and thought I'd share.

First, and probably most important (as has been stated here many times) is the ability to promote/demote/boot people anywhere, anytime, regardless of online status. This seems to have become even more important as a whole slew of linkshells seem to be filled with people no longer playing (Or waiting for SE to get it's house in order) Even my own ls has created a new shell to swap over to thanks to the number of zombies infesting the member list.

Second, was the ability to talk into the various equipped linkshells without first having to change the active pearl. Preferably with something easy to use such as "/l1" "/l2" etc. (I'm not going to go into the problems with any entered text being erased during actions. I'd be here for forever.)

And third (and this one is mostly just for my own preference) I want a bloody ls emote command. Something similar to /em but instead of piping it to the area I'm standing in, shooting it into ls. (Even if it's only the active one) It's something I always wanted in XI, and still miss about XIV. (I like to shamble about in ls...and it's just not the same without an emote)

So what else do you think ls functionality needs?

I second the "wanting a lsmes" option. Second on the list is the already mentioned promote/boot anyone anywhere option.

/lsmes is my number 1. As a shell leader it is so aggravating to not be able to put a simple message up to let my LS-mates know what is going on. New information on the site? Updates to events? Let me just put it as the ls mess... oh wait, I can't. /fume

As an LS founder I want to be able to boot someone who isn't standing right next to me, i.e. players that haven't logged in in weeks.

I would like to add to the list of excellent ideas:

1. Add the current locations of your LS members (just online ones would be fine) in the Display Members window. It is annoying having to constantly ask each other "Where are you?" in order to meet up.

2. Add or revise display options to the Display Memebers window. It is also annoying having to scroll through dozens of names to see who is online at any time. Maybe group all online members at the top of the list; or not display offline members at all. In short, make it like how FF11 was.
Smilies for premium users only? Bah, I'll just...oh wait.

I agree. Seeing where people are or maybe how long its been since they logged on. Really any information about them besides a name and an icon would be great. They really ought to be showing what class they are at the time, where they are, etc..

I don't know if other people want this, but I would like to be able to set a Co-leader or Second in command, that could have all the power of the leader. Including invite/boot/promote.

I would like having a LS message again. I agree that it would be cool to put someone as a co-leader too.

Most of all I don't like how you have to be next to someone to kick them. SE should fix and add things that a linkshell should have started with.
