OK long story short. Square enix have been dealing with something for me over a month regarding my account.

Today I received an email saying "this can be time consuming so have 1,500,000 gil and we call it quits" so now I am asking if anyone knows a Square Enix complaints number or if there is anyone who regulates such complaints?

I am sure this is against so many customer services policies procedures. I am disgusted that they release what can only be described as a drunken abortion (yes I mean FFXIV) but then to on top of that receive a level of customer service so below par the worms are above it is truly a hideous thing.

Please help me with details so I can get under way :)

You can find their support number on their website. You didn't do a very good job of describing what your issue was, but I have a feeling that SE customer service is not offering you gil. You're trolling or being scammed.

Yep, their customer service is complete sh*t! I had to call last Monday because my security token broke on the Friday before (they aren't open on weekends) and the first guy that picked up started arguing with me trying tell me that I was manipulating the teleprompter to get faster service. Of course I hadn't, I simply picked the option that seemed most appropriate to my issue. In all the places that I ever worked customer service I would have been fired for what he did on the spot.

Yes my message was in haste.

I was hacked around 5 weeks ago. went through so much grief getting to the correct department. Where GMs REFUSED to talk to me and simply sent auto messages back.

I got through to customer services eventually. (Their lines say closed at 6GMT but at 5:30GMT they where closed)

After a very lengthy chat they said they would look into it and email some things to an email address.

Now basically 4-5 weeks later they have sent me an email saying....

"Processing customer requests for game data recovery has shown that due to game data structure, recovery is very time consuming.

In order to address this situation, we are providing an emergency response with the “FINAL FANTASY XIV Care Package,” which allows immediate resumption of gameplay.

This “FINAL FANTASY XIV Care Package” will provide items and gil based on characters’ physical level, instead of recovering lost items"

Now this package includes 1,500,000 gil. But I lost far far far more than this and after my long wait I believe this to be nothing more than an insult. The email contains all my character info, the correct links and the correct email address as well as the correct details its sent from etc so I know this is no scam.

@Jefro420 I can believe that! However the only good part of this thus far was my phone call with a man calling himself Vincent (lol??) In time I will find out who to complain to about SE. With their business losing money and such a gash game you would think they would try hard with customer services.

In that case, they're being upfront with you. Even if its a crappy deal, and I agree that it is (they don't have nearly enough people working customer support), they've given you the choice, start up now and hope to recover what you've lost while actually playing, using their care package, or you can continue to wait for them to restore you properly. I'm impressed they are giving you two options.

Short answers are there is nobody else for you to talk you, you're in contact with the right people. And depending on the details (such as are they able to save your class ranks?), it sounds like taking their care package may be the best way to go about it, 1500k will replace whatever you lost, and you can start making back your money now, rather than sitting around not being able to play.

I am in no great rush to play this game. With xmas and new year I shall be either away or far to drunk to know how a keyboard works. My gripe is that I am not being serviced. To take 5 weeks to say "yea this is taking ages heres 1,500,000" is not acceptable.

5 weeks.

I have seen my mate log onto WoW see he has been hacked and within prob nearly that many hours got it fixed. No as much as I would never play WoW I take my hat off to the service.

During this process I had to agree to terms and conditions about this issue one of which stated it shall take a max of 3 weeks.

This has gone on for so long that I have not played since either of these 2 major patches. In this day and age I can get remote access to my PC through my phone, I can call a person in every country in the world and have them all in one giant conference call. Communications are so simple yet in 5 weeks nothing and then this. yes I am prob droning on but I am truly gob smacked by this.

SE has a reputation for having some of the worst customer service. None of this surprises me. I'd say just sound angrier when you are in content with them

Ahh my response is angry, disgusted and yet still approachable lol.

Oh and if you live in UK on these Auto Phone things press # like 5 times. Always takes you through and pushes you infront :P

If they don't have it fixed by 14th of Jan ill just uninstall and play DC Universe. (The beta is great)
