FFXIV Starting out and end gameFollow

Hello! I recently decided to start playing FFXIV (or atleast give it a shot) again, since when i played at launch my computer couldn't handle it.

I've been googleing for awhile and couldn't find anything related to the end game content? :S Since i've seen a few 50's i suppose atleast some people have experienced the current "end-game" I do not really have no worries since i have a long way to go, but still intresting to know what is currently in place :)
So what is the current end game?

A thing i've been doing is trying to find a good starting out guide with information, and i haven't been able to find a good guide.
So atleast what i think is that if someone (or the whole community.. or square enix) would make a clean good write-up about starting out in FFXIV, with everything about crafting, questing and so on I, and probably alot of new players would be really grateful.. and more likely stick with the game :)

Why is everyone in a rush to get to end game? I doubt SE has plans for end-game content because they're busy trying to make the game right first.. and that's really all I care about. If you and everyone want rushed end-game content, go to FFXI, where it's all about end-game and ***** everything else.

Its not always that people are in a rush, its that people want to know if their time investment will pay off in the end, or if they're just going to be doing rank 50 guild leves for months-years.

Yea the question the Op is asking is basically will his time invested be worth it in the end?

Every MMO is defined in the end, by their end-game. In single player games, once it ends, unless you want to play it all over again, that's it. Game Over. For MMO's game over isn't supposed to happen so having an entertaining and fun end-game is the only way to keep players playing.

To answer the OP, far as I know the end-game doesn't exist/is the same grind as leveling. Correct me if i'm wrong anyone whose hit the wall.

Other than a few NMs, end-game doesn't exist yet. They are trying to fix the game first and add low-middle level content. I'd expect some end-game content to come after these first problems are fixed.

I wouldnt expect any endgame content much before ps3 release. What I would suggest doing is getting as many classes as you can to 20 first, since the grind from 1-20 is fast, level out not up. I should warn you crafting has a hidden addiction factor, once you get a feel for it, you're hooked, and your battling classes are used as crystal, shard farmers.

Build a nice solid foundation for yourself character development wise, and you will have a very strong chracter ready for endgame.

There are NM leves in place that you can't do 'til you're post R40, that's the closest thing to end game this game has atm.
