This would be a good time to calm down and prepare for incoming flame-wars.

Remember that the previous crew already had a ton of stuff they announced for march.

I don't see them changing that plan to prioritize Yoshida's wishes.

Yes, the previous team had a ton of stuff planned for the new year. New UI for keyboard/mouse users, further improvements to the retainer wards, adjustments to this and adjustments to that, etc. etc.

But I do see them heading down a different path under Yoshida. What's the point of bringing a new guy in if he's got to sit there and twiddle thumbs for 4 months while they finish plugging away at Tanaka's vision? And frankly, even with all the stuff we were promised for the first quarter of 2011, it wouldn't be enough to keep most people around or bring many people back. I'm expecting to hear new things in addition to the old in Yoshida's Lodestone announcement. And I'm kind of hoping they can push something live a lot sooner than March. Like maybe make some adjustments for mid-January so things like crafting and SP gain on combat classes don't make the core of the game such a chore.

All the people saying that an AH would make them play are talking out of their ****. If they got their AH they start plugging away and barring anything else, they'd go a couple of months and then a lot of them would throw in the towel. Adjustments don't suit when an overhaul is required.

Sure they had stuff already planned for the beginning of 2011. They need more than that, and I think that's what people are wanting to see.

Truly hoping for some nice, interactive quests, class diversity, better market wards, more NMs, and some events... but, still, part of me thinks,

"Easter Bells will be placed at the following locations..."
"Three new Guildleves will be added..."

Agree 100% on this. I hate the market wards, but they work well enough I guess. Thats not THE problem anymore. I felt the same way when the game was just released and so many people put all the blame on the UI, saying that would fix everything for them, and when they fixed just about all the initial complaints, we still saw no real increase in numbers. I hate when people do this, because it does mislead the devs.

What I want to see tomorrow is the announcement that they will be adding in more game (just cause I hate the term content). Right now there seem to be a bunch of systems in place that range from below average to very very good, but they all feel more like the tools to play the game, rather than the game itself. Most of the 'content' just feels like placeholders for the ideas they wanted to implement. I don't want to see 50 items that say adjustment, I want to see a bunch of things that say New. And by new, I mean new, and not just more of what we have. 5000 new guildleves does nothing for me if I'm still only doing 8 per 2 days.
