During the holiday period like many I put in a few extra hours into FFXIV quickly getting fatigue on my main job.

First off I was very positive saying, "Ok SE want me to do something else". Two weeks later and two more fatigued jobs my main is still fatigued and I fear I am on the verge of fatiguing yet two more. I have a few questions on the matter.

First off should I still have fatigue or is it bugged? I don't know exactly how long it has been but around two weeks since I gained any SP on my main would be about right. Also I was still able to gain some SP so it wasn't totally fatigued to the max.

Secondly I believe that fatigue will eventually be done away with but in the mean time should it be alleviated or removed during popular holiday periods? I see the positives to it and this is not a hate thread.

Peace

Get at least 1 sp point for it to reset.

I don't get why everyone is so scared of surplus (fatigue is what gatherers get).

The first step is 10% of your total SP gain. 90 sp instead of 100, or 180 sp instead of 200. Reaching the second step seems impossible. I have managed to grind 100k sp with 10% surplus without seeing the "Your Bonus level increases" message. It's not like your character explodes because you gain 10% less Sp / monster. Sure it can be annoying, but it's really not that game breaking as everyone makes it out to be.

I saw "Your bonus level increases" very quickly but its not a game breaker. I was just wondering why I still have yellow numbers at the bottom of my screen.

Why can't in-laws wash up properly?

just to make sure.. there is a difference between "Your hand to hand skill bonus increases"(example) and "your bonus level increases"

You get the first message with pretty much every skillup, but it doesn't mean your surplus has actually gone from 10% to 20%. Easiest way to check this is level gladiator/conj/thm until you reach surplus and then equip a shield. Comparing your job sp gained to your sentinel SP gained, you will notice that its still 10% even though it says "your sword skill bonus increases"

yeah, I remember the distinctively different messages.

I didnt test anything with a shield but I'm quite happy to change jobs for a while.

If you truly have not killed anything on the class that is fatigued for two weeks, kill something and it will go away. You need to gain at least 1 SP for fatigue to reset.
