Weekend Summary 17/01Follow

#1 Jan 17 2011 at 9:05 PM Rating: Excellent
Another weekend come and gone, with the added bonus of NFL Divisionals! Anyway...what were my plans:

Quote:

* Clearing retainers (@ 90+ items each)
* Getting Leatherworker from 28 - > 29 (So I can repair my own weapon...)
* Getting Lancer from 18 - > 20 (Feint!)
* Burning 2-4 stacks of Buffalo HIDE Two stacks

Quote:

Results:

* Retainers are mainly cleared
* Leatherworker is now at Rank 29!
* Lancer was not touched at all...
* Hides are now burnt and gone!

3/4, not a bad weekend overall...now for some sleep...

I had a different kind of goal this weekend, I wanted to get Weaver to at least rank 22 which I accomplished. However the true goal was to fulfill the lack of cotton crafting gear on my server. No Doublets, Gowns, shoes or belts to be found.

So far I've made and sold Cotton Turbans, Halfgloves, Gowns (a huge pain by the way), Slops and Doublets in a variety of colors.

Then I used my leatherworking to make Red Toolbelts, Leather Survival Belts and Black Dodoskin Jackboots.

I put them up for reasonable prices in hopes that new players or those just starting into a craft would be able to find gear as Rank 26 canvas gear or velveteen isn't going to do them much good.

I also dinged 33 Pugilist, one more level to go til Pounce^^

I got my Culinarian and Goldsmith to 12, but wasn't able to get Lancer to 22 yet. It is close though.

I was able to get in touch with quite a few of my old friends, thankfully. That was really my main goal, but hitting that 40 ARM was a nice bonus!

I wasn't able to achieve 18 MIN though. For some reason, after mining for a while, everything became damaged upon first swing which I'm not quite sure I understand, seeing that I had been mining those very same items with ease just minutes before. Once that started happening I decided to call it a day.

Gladiator: 26, started the Rank 26 mission.
Carpenter: 20, completed the carpenter quest.
Alchemist: 25
Physical: 44
Gear: have all my bronze gear for my gladiator now (except, I can't find leggings...) Is there even bronze leggings? Hate having multiple repair ingredients on me...

As someone mentioned above, there is a massive lack of gear (on my server as well), haven't started, but looking at a goal for next week to be putting up as much Rank 20ish bronze gear up as I can. I literally spent 3 hours getting together enough ingredients and synthing my gloves. Very sad. While I am at it I will see if I can get my blacksmith and armorer to twenty so I can complete those quests by next weekend:).

I have Leather and Alchemy guild quests to do... it would be nice to get some guild marks on any of my crafts, but it's not a goal for this weekend alone ^^.

Everything else, well I'm in a very flexible mode this weekend. Whatever happens happens.

I didn't do my leather quest, I did get alchemy done though and even got some miserly amount of marks. I barely missed goldsmithing to 20 so that hsould happen this next leve reset (fyi other than alchemy all my crafting ranks have been soley due to hoarding leves every reset even if I won't have the chance to complete them before the next reset).

I made alot of money and almost ranked up alchemy one more time as well.

I'm content with my progress.

gathering fatigue. It really sucks.

I managed to learn more about food by making some and playing with my stats to get better effects from it. Food adds a whole different dimension to this game - it is neat!

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

[insert Flood of '11]
