This topic brings me to one question that bothers me for quite some time now - it's regarding some of the aetherial gates within Thanalan region. How the heck did you get to The Footfalls and Scorpion Keep. I can't find the entrance to these spots. I assume there must be some tunnel around these places which connects to them but I can't find it no matter how much I try.

Also did anyone manage to get to Zanr'ak and Sandgate? In my opinion there's just tooo much aggressive mobs around there to get to these gates without aggroing some flys, Ahrimans or Drakes or whatever is in your path one-shot killing you even with R 36. ; ;

Any help or advice is appreciated.

The Footfall is in Western Thanalan Lowland, there's are to 2 ways to reach this: One is north of camp horizon you will see a very large cliff that has a small road leading down to the lowland. Another is just east off the tunnel entrance to the ferry.

I haven't gotten to them myself, but haven't really gone to far to look for them besides the mining and botany leves that bring you around the area. I will have to look as the above poster has suggested. I want to get them all soon, just for the reason to have them, as there is really no other reason atm to get them besides something to do.

The north cliff of horizon is exactly where the 3 logging points local leve at horizon happens. You will find Quartz Doblyn, Tuco Tuco and Dusty Mongrel down there.

Also:
Camp Blackbrush: Nanawa Mine
Camp Bald Knoll: Mistbeard Cove
Camp Bentbranch: Tamtara Deepcroft
Camp Horizon: Copperbellmine
Camp Emerald Moss: Mun-Tuy Cellar
Camp Bloodshore: Cassiopeia Hollow

All the "dungeons" actually belongs to the Camp nearby.

And another aetheryte I forgot the name that is North East of Bloodshore, where you find Gobbue, red crabs and Salamander. It belongs to Camp Bloodshore.

I would like to get all the crystals, however, I was just curious, does each camp require a certian level to pass through safely? If so can someone please list the levels? TY! <3

There aren't really any "requirements" other than being patient & sneaky! I've made it to all of the camps (well, except one in Coerthas) and I'm only 23. I'm still missing a lot of Aetheryte Crystals though...it seems pretty much impossible to go unnoticed for some of them.

Agreed, I got one-shotted a couple days ago trying to get to Scorpion's Keep near Camp Horizon. Got to the Footfalls with no aggro though.

Thats for sure. We did another LS trip of getting more aetheryte crystals in coerthas a few weeks back. With a party of about 6-7, we tried to get wyrmkings perch and the lance. With some deaths we hit up the lance. Then we tried for wyrmkings. We tried 3-4 times and only one person was able to slip through while the rest of us caught aggro in this tunnel of absolute death getting to that point.

There are a few toxic toads, scarred kalongs, and a wall of napalms (I counted at least 8) in that hellhole of a tunnel. There isn't an easy way to sneak through with so many mobs in such a small space. So for now looks like wyrmkings is one i'll have to put on hold until I get many more ranks to punch through.

*Edit - But the whole adventure was a **** of a lot of fun :D. Didn't want to sound like a total downer about it. Some of the best times i've had in game yet.

You can get to Scorpion Keep by entering a cave at 14-33. I don't remember which side it's on, but you enter the triangular shaped mountain SW of the gate. You then travel through that mountain into the one containing Scorpion Keep at 12-33. The only place you really have to watch is when you're going up and down levels because there are bombs at the turns. I was able to slip in and out by just being quick and watching the mobs.

Go north of camp glory to the raptor camp, and keep an eye out on the west wall up there, there's a tunnel that takes you over to the crooked fork area...

Mind you, other than a couple pretty landscape shots, and one really suspicious looking place with a maple tree that looks like the perfect nm spot, there's not much over there... Just a bunch of deadly critters like velociraptors, redwing kaz's, and I think maybe rainbow basilisks, unless we saw those somewhere else... Anyways yeah, the stuff will kill you pretty bad if you wander astray.
