So i played this game since open Beta till i got bored after 3-4 Weeks. Since then i didnt play it anymore. So now i think it's maybee time to check back....

Therefor i wanna ask: Do things have changed so far?? Or is it still the same. I saw that they changed the whole developpement Team, an i saw a letter from the director with poll result and what they wanna change....So is it worth to come back or should i still wait?

Some things are still very broken, but overall the game has already come a long way from open beta. Things like latency issues and general lag are gone, but the planned fixes outlined from the poll results won't be fully implemented until at least another couple of months, starting in mid-february and updating every 2 weeks according to the new producer.

They said early feb not mid-feb for the next patch. My guess is next week even.

Was this a typo or are you one of those FFXI douches who use (May)(Bee) and not understand that "May" is a month and "bee" is an insect?

Things have changed.

But as far as my opinion goes, they need to change more until I give it another try.

And I'm pretty much willing to jump in whenever it is in an acceptable condition, so you be the judge.

Wait until they launch the PS3 version and start charging. They plan on doing that as soon as the game is where it needs to be for them to really consider it "enjoyable". So that happening will be a good sign that SE considers the game 100% ready to go. At the moment, they are still looking at revamping several things, polling players for feedback, reconsidering fundamentals of the game, etc. etc. It doesn't sound like you want to partake in that experience, so just kick back and keep an ear out for the PS3 launch, or maybe check the lodestone once a month for while. It's not gonna happen overnight though, and it's gonna be a while still before the game is really full of content.

Right now we are more or less in an extended beta and/or development process, except that we will be allowed to keep our characters.

I agree with all above posters.
They are definitely working on it, but it's too soon to come back yet.
Gogo, SE. Show us there's at least a tiny bit of Squaresoft left.

They have changed slightly... but somehow I doubt you'll make it past registration... >_>

Wait a while. They fixed some bugs and tweaked stuff but a lot of stuff is still broken or is half done. It'll be a while until FFXIV is up to par with what it should have been. Game came out a year too early. I don't see the PS3 launch happening until Q4. I'd hold out for that.

With the exception of some minor UI/Market Ward changes, it's essentially the same game. If you didn't like it then you won't like it now.
