So was doing some research on food, and it appears in the Grocer's Ward each food group basically gives you two attributes. They are conveniently broken out per category. Also within each group each dish has an "optimum" rank. much like weapons and armor do.

Egg Dishes - Attack and Craftsmanship
Grain Dishes - HP and Defense
Meat Dishes - HP and Attack
Mushroom Dishes - Magic Accuracy and Magic Craftsmanship
Seafood Dishes - Accuracy and Control
Soups - Output and Magic Defense
Sweets - MP and Magic Potency
Vegetable Dishes- MP and Magic Accuracy
Drinks - Magic Craftsmanship and Elemental Resistance

I like how each one pretty much helps out 2 of the 4 diciplines.
If I missed anything here please let me know.

generally that is correct but not exactly... like I think spinach saute is a veggie dish and it increases gathering... Jack-o-lanturn is a sweet and it increases gathering as well... ratatouille is not a soup but it increases output... etc.

as a PGL and ARC those egg dishes look really good. I can kick out a few crafting leves and also benefit for when I fight stuff.

Just want to let the culinarians out there know they are wanted and appreciated, despite what that thread about worthless jobs might indicate.

Stay away from those grain dishes... they go straight to your thighs.
