Wonky SP (Troubleshooting, plox)Follow

I'm seriously getting irritated. My SP was wonky before the patch. I know that if you kill a monster with Wide Volley/etc. as an Archer you risk lower SP gained. I've tested this on my Lancer, Pugilist, and Conjurer and the problem exists on all three classes over the course of two months.

However, even just single target I have *YET* to break 250 SP from a monster in solo, during a leve, or during a leve *WITH* Guardian's Favor. I started off on the normal incredibly high numbers when I was level 7 and it dwindled down to around 125 - 200 per monster while on leves (I don't even want to talk about off of leves....) with GF. Post update, it doesn't seem better or worse and it took me 8 rank 20 leves -- I duo with a Conjurer friend -- to simply gain a level and go from 18 to 19. I just barely got that, as the majority of the monsters were just giving me double digit SP. Experience seems OKish, but still less than half of what she gets (who at the time was much lower than I am).

She, however, went from 14 to almost 20 tonight. It's really ******* me off. I know it isn't fatigue because I haven't leveled for almost 2 weeks prior to tonight. I've been battling this ever since I've started to level two months ago and it's seriously killing any potential desire to see what I can get to on my limited work schedule. She, however, was easily seeing 600 - 900+ on certain leves consistently (since most were orange/yellow). I haven't, and probably never will, see the yellow fatigue text simply because my work schedule is gruelling atm.

Are there *any* ideas why this would be happening.

The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't matter what monster it is, it cons blue to me. I can be level 1 Thurm (which I haven't leveled just yet), staring at an Aldgoat Billy and it'll con blue. I can switch targets on the Archer, and no matter whether I start the leve or she does (no matter what star settings) EVERYTHING cons blue. I'm aware that it can sometimes "stick" to blue con when something isn't, but I've never, ever, seen anything other than a blue dot on a monster.

/check would be nice.

Have you tried reinstalling FFXIV? I can't think of anything else that could be limiting your SP gain.

Every monster conning blue seems to be a glitch, and if it's not solved by logging off/on, it would seem to be an issue with the way the game is installed/updated on your PC.

I got 450 from killing an orange peiste on my rank 40 thm solo, no leves.

I got 360 from killing coblyns with Adamanite Wills leve, 5 star, in Nanawa Mines, solo, with Guardians Favor.

It's quite possible that the leves you are doing need to be done at a higher star rating for you to see better SP. If she was only r14 while you were r18, those mobs would be 4 ranks tougher for her than they are for you. I'd say bump up your star rating to a point where battles are difficult, but you can still win. I think you will notice much better SP.

As for solo, what kind of mobs are you fighting? Do they con blue, or are they higher? If they con blue, you will be getting very low SP results, even slightly lower than pre-patch. Try and focus on fighting green+ mobs and I think you will notice a steep increase in your overall SP. Not exactly sure why everything cons blue to you though, and if that's truly the case you might want to submit a bug report to SE, or contact a GM to see if they can solve your problem.
