so i enjoy exploring, and im running around looking for unknown places with maybe a bunch of cool mobs i can kill.
and boy do i find them. iv seen tons of mobs that look awsome. realy uneque, the kind that you saw on the trailer and on the offical website "Bestiary" list.
The fallen captains, pikemen, ect.
the floating eyes.
the giant Peste's.
the Bombs, the Elimentals.
the goblins! were are they? im yet to see a single one.
they are definatly great mobs.
so far iv hit 22... and im still only fighting moles, mice and squirels.
But my question is this, what level do i have to be, to be able to kill something fantastical?
aanyone know anything for me to kill?

Kind of hard to say. I am lvl 26 PUG and party with a Lvl 23 pug, and too far off the beaten path we get killed quickly. I am not sure when you can go off and explore.
Kind of frustrated with this myself.

Yeah, I have to say Coerthas is the best place to go if you just want to explore, you can even make it into Mohr Dohna from there if you are really careful.

But yeah, most of the paths off the beaten path are like going through an upper level of the promys in 11. Stay away from mobs, or run like mad and hope you survive:).

Now that the dungeons don't have as many humans as before, they can be pretty fun to check out, and most of them you can kill mobs in around your twenties (another throwback from 11?)

As for Gobbies to kill, low twenties w/ party (hail mary will pwn you) or mid to upper twenties to solo are the Goblin Thugs. Good drops, fun to kill, especially with anyone who can stun. Though again hail mary can be a party wiper if you are too low fighting them, and once the bomb is up, it's kill it fast, or have cure ready.

it seems like there are roughly 2-5 mob types that you gain access to every 10 levels, I am now actually about to go exploring to find the next level 30 mobs to play with now that we are past gobby level.

Why was this guy defaulted? It's an honest question.

Anyway, I want to know too! I'm level 20 and the mob variety so far is incredibly lackluster. It's hard to feel heroic when you're fighting a rat or a dodo or something equally harmless.

If you do some faction leves you get a chance to kill named mobs/humanoids. Also, behests can offer a change in normal mobs you have to grind for a given area.

There are many things around the world, but sadly most people are lazy and won't step outside lower level camp. R20 still killing Dodo? What is wrong with you? Even if you stick to the camp your level, Camp Horizon/Bloodshore/Tranquil doesn't have Dodo, that's only in r10 Camp. Even at 20 there are already a wide range of mobs outside leves, like Thickshell, Lead Coblyn/Iron Coblyn, Nanny/Billygoat, Maiden Bug, Cassiopeia/Bloodshore Bell, Shore Slug, Highwayman, Giant Bat, Mole, Red Land Trap, Elemental, Cellar Puk, Skeleton Soldier/Magicked Bones etc.

Mor Dhana is pretty cool if you can venture out that far. I would recommend doing it in a sneaky way though as I got one-shotted like 25 times. One time was for almost 5,000 points... x.x
