Let's teach SE a lesson, everyone to GW2 upon release!Follow

I think it would be a good idea to teach the game manufacturer's that they can't just make any trashy game and expect people to throw our hard earned money in it. Many of us spent 2k or more prepping for a game that they hyped up and never delivered on. I'm sure there was not a person on the SE team that truly thought it was a good game and worth buying before release. In my opinion SE did us all an unjust.

And that, man'qotes and gentlemen, is obviously the fault of the manufacturer.

Because taking the responsibility for your own actions is such a difficult concept.

Though I don't agree with the OPs reasoning and such, I am looking forward to GW2. The first Guild Wars is an excellent game and I'm confident Arenanet will make GW2 an excellent game as well. But as I enojoy XIV (mostly because of friends I play with, granted, but yeah) I won't be leaving it for GW2, I'll play both just as I always played GW alongside FFXI for years (still play GW from time to time, FFXI not really anymore).

Also, though I built a computer to play this game, I also needed a new one for Starcraft 2, and eventually GW2 and Diablo 3, so I don't feel like I wasted the money. That's your fault if you spent 2k on a new computer for 1 game imo.

Last 3 of OPs posts were all about trying to bring SE down in one way or another, with the one before this one being in November.

Yeah, totally a trollasaurus.

What is it about bringing in a new producer and dev team says that they haven't learned their lesson?

I don't understand how moving to a MMO that advertises that it's a free (with no monthly fees), and probably rarely gets updated (if at all) would be "teaching S-E a lesson". S-E is doing quite the opposite.

Note: I've never played Guild Wars, so I don't really know how their financial model works. But if you were really wanting to start some kind of "teaching S-E a lesson", wouldn't you at least go to a competing MMO that operates under a similar financial model that XIV does?

They didn't crash and burn therefore = not learning a lesson!

I loved Guild wars, and am excited about guild wars 2. That being said it will have no monthly fee and zero bearing on if I play FFXIV or not.

I'd do that, if they weren't going in a good direction with FFXIV, and if GW2 didn't look terrible.

But since I like FFXIV, and think GW2 and the other mmo's look crummy, I think I'll stick around while they continue adding to this game. My only complaint is that they don't add to it at an inhuman pace, but I guess it's reasonable to overlook that.

At least he's not like "lets teach SE a lesson by buying a copy of FFXI!" like people did when Sonic 4 came out.
Anyone remember the "lets buy sonic 1 to protest sonic 4!" (give them money to protest giving them money).

Well I rated him down, sub-default should stick.
Why guild wars 2 anyways? I see more potential for broken promises than anything I've ever seen before. Too many features, too much to go wrong. Vanguard anyone?

Lol. The only thing that "protest" could have done is made it clear that Sonic 1-Knuckles were superior, yet even then Sonic Team wouldn't get the hint since they'll be too busy bathing in protest money.
