I chuckled at this, would love it as well but the game is way too messy atm for something like that. They aren't anywhere near being ready to balance PvP.

but I would like an auction house most importantly, chocobos im surprised werent in the release version lol yeah they'd be nice.

unrealistic next patch wishes: new classes or a new city/area like jeuno where everybody comes together.

Sorry I feel stupid re-read the OP, if I have to choose JUST one, then obviously a legit Auction House, idc if they rip it exactly from FFXI and stick an AH NPC somewhere, that's good enough.

Yeah I hope PVP comes out a few month after PS3 release. I remember the olden days in FFXI when it was like 30vs30 in all caps

- Auction House
- Fix repair system
- Fix action bars

A party search feature does seem rather mandatory at this point. There wasn't a huge call for it previously because there wasn't a huge call to form a party, but with the addition of increased SP in parties and the promise of new story driven content in the future, the need to be able to efficiently find those with goals similar to your own is rapidly becoming more paramount to the success of this game.

What's an MMO if you can't find anyone to play it with?

Fix combat. Give it some depth so that it is actually fun. Really, every other thing they patch means nothing next to combat, because it defines the content of the game. If people enjoy killing things, they will enjoy the game. If killing things is boring, repetitive, and lacking in challenge, most people won't enjoy the game.

Right now the battle is like 5/10 maybe. Needs an overhaul something fierce.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

Other than quests, I'd like to see auto-attack and a tweak to the TP points gain and TP moves strength system so the way you use it matters more.

Or just upgrading the battle system in general.

Seconded!

And while they're at it, make it so that if I get disconnected/game crashes/etc during a leve then when I log back in the timer is still running and I can finish it. I don't loose access to crafting facilities when I log out, so I'd hope that they could manage to do this.

the content is there it was at launch, all they need to do is flip a switch on the server. there using it as a last resort and i don't like that.

Ok, I wasn't really refering to that but more along the lines of what they use to have posted on the main site.

"Blacksmithing techniques are capable of weakening enemies constructed of metal, as well as discovering loot that would otherwise be overlooked by the untrained eye"

"In addition to their unexcelled prowess at throwing rocks, miners also use their skills to debilitate enemies with mineral compositions."

use to be in the description on http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/#/gameplay/armourysystem/land/miner/role but is now gone. I wonder if they were still going to pursue this as well as crafts being able to work together to make things like cannons and cakes, etc.

Auto attack for the basic attack would be clutch. It's impossible to talk during battle right now.

Content is the obvious number one here; there needs to be more story - the world is beautiful and filled with NPCs, let's become engaged in it. Right now, I'm doing levequests because... that's what adventurers do? To get stronger? To make money, I guess, is the reason the game gives. So we're all just professional adventurers doing our jobs and there's nothing spectacular about this world we're in? The one thing I count on FF to deliver is story, both the main story lines and plenty of fun side quests to engage in.

Also would really enjoy an AH and Chocobos, even if there is a level limit/quest for license.

Personally I've been really enjoying the story missions, but what I think they should do is reduce the gap between them to 5 levels every time, and then add more up to 50, so it's a smoother experience. The same goes for class quests, they should add more of them and make them far more frequent so you can get more of a feel for the class and it's lore.

In addition to that, there really needs to be challenging group content such as BGs making a return, and I really hope they haven't given up on all the things they said they were going to do before ala group crafting D:

Edit: I think in regards to auto-attack it should be toggled, perhaps with some kind of small benefit to having it off auto-attack? I agree that it's kind of annoying to coordinate anything at all right now, although they did say originally that it was going to be less about attacking as quickly as possible, and more about attacking the right places and with good timing, perhaps a return to that could be neat.

Oh! And also the magic classes need sorting out, spamming spirit dart isn't my idea of being a mage, it doesn't even have an animation =.='

I would kinda like to see this. The crafting classes wouldnt necessarily have to fight persay(although I wouldnt mind it), but atleast add something of use to a party. Something like I remember reading they were going to develop way back in the beginning, where a miner could hit a certain kind of mob causing it to take extra damage to a certain type of attack. Although I severely paraphrased that, but you get the idea.

Edit: See post a few above me that has it actually quoted :I

Could be more NM's, instanced dungeons, BCNM's, Missions/quests that are actually difficult and require 6-15 people, etc. Anything along those lines would be great. Even if it was low level stuff with a level cap, that'd be fine too.

Plenty of other stuff I'd like to see too, but that's definitely top of my list.

Oh and this. Anything that adds more group functionality.

I disagree. The post above is not very credible, due to the fact that the description was removed, means they most likely aren't going to implement the feature. It may make more roles for crafting, making it less tedious and more fun to level; however, that will take away from the high rewards that they possess from the long strenuous work required to attain a high level.

Besides, crafting is meant to be solo. When you said about crafting in groups, okay that is different, and it is possible that could work. Aiding in battle though, as a carpenter, etc. is pretty **** stupid, regardless of how they do so. I can easily just as well say "A conjurer should be able to help craft, or help mine." Crafters are supposed to craft, not fight or even assist in combat. Thats how it is in any mmo out there, or atleast the ones I have played.

My 2 cents.

- Ive got a feeling all Airships head to and from Ishgard so they will need to open up the city for 'Port Ishgard', that would be cool.
- Would like to see a zone in-between Thanalan and The Black Shroud, kinda makes sense, although will need Chocobos, not running that! kweh!
- A Fisher could fish up an NM for the rest of the party to fight.
- A Miner could throw some rocks and gems to put a DoT on the mob.
- Defend the Botanist from the Beastmen so he can chop the rare tree.
- Two more small towns like Selbina and Muhura from FFXI.
- Leaping Lizzy.
- Would really like to see the cap go up to r60 with grade 6 and 7 trees. (and everything else that would come with a cap rise ^^)
- AF, RSE, JSE and rank capped gear would be amazing.
- Party crafting, Carpenter makes 999 ebony lumber, others make steel plates, gold decorations, leather seats ect ect = Company Airship!
- Defend the Hamlets, defeat a bunch of mobs around the 'Golden Bazaar' or 'Aleport' ect on a timer thats 30mins out of sync with Behest.
- Tons of mini-quests, even if they are really basic just so it fill up the world a bit, maybe a fame system like FFXI would make them worth doing.
- I would be very surprised if there wont be player housing bcoz getting/storing furniture and event items is cool... kupo!

My 2gil.

They need to have the music fade out in zones after a bit. Have it fade in and out but not on constant repeat the entire time you're in a zone.

I'd like them to remove the limitation of only killing one mob group at any given time. This would reduce frustration from lost skill point and experience during behest groups, but also open the floor to "dungeon raids" done by medium to large parties. Everyone still has to stick close together, but you can clear multiple mobs at the same time. For whatever reason I continually have people in parties killing mobs that are not engaged or even just damaging them which reduces the SP gained.

I feel like they created this limitation to avoid such exploitation found in FFXI as the SMN burns. However, there is no possible way for anyone to gather more than a small group of mobs, perhaps 3-4 at any time due to the fact that they always run back to their territory. This couldn't nearly be considered exploitative now in FFXIV.

In summary, Square Enix needs to stop putting so many game mechanic limiting features in play so that we can enjoy the game just a little more.

Honestly, I'd like them to adjust degradation of weapons and degradation and stat penalties when wearing gear above your rank.

#2 would be eliminating lag/clipping issues when using abilities.
#3 would be replacing Battle Regimen with Skillchains.
#4 would be improved Linkshell management.

I want working game mechanics before immersing in content.

While I'd love something new, I'd first like them to fix the camera operation they broke in the last patch.

You can no longer lower the camera to the floor and have it conveniently zoom up to you (it still does, but a small fraction of what it used to, you could really get up in your face), then still have the reset (R3 on the controller) still reset to the desired camera distance set in the configuration.

Seems small and silly, but I used it a lot, especially to craft, to help me see some of the colors on that light on various equipment. I can still do it, but a) I have to use the mouse wheel to zoom in, and I don't play with a mouse, which leads to b) R3 (nor 'End') being able to reset to the set camera distance in configuration.

Not sure why they broke it, but they did. The only thing I can see in the patch notes related to camera distance had to do with combat. Maybe that change broke standard camera operations?

Either way, sad panda.

They could easily fix this with a Loop Music y/n option. I'm for that too. I was excited that nobou was doing the soundtrack but honestly other than a couple of the tracks I'm very disappointed in the OST. I think I'd actually had preferred if Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi had done the music. Very sad to say it though because I like Nobou and he's done amazing work in the past. Maybe it'll improve in the new areas they open up in the future.

I don't think low-level NMs will come in the next update, but roaming low-level NMs were definitely on Yoshi-P's to-do list, and I'll bet we see them added fairly soon.

On a related note, I hope these low-level NMs drop rare/ex items and not just crafting materials. This game needs some Leaping Boots!

For the love of god quests with story line content, and maybe even some nice rewards?? It would also be really nice to go toe to toe with something other than F'ing squirrels, birds, crabs, antelopes, etc etc. How about some beastmen tribes roaming about, or thieves, brigands, bandits, something please. When FFXI came out I can remember getting together with some other noobs and exploring the beastmen camps, so simple and yet so fun.
