FFXIV Disappeared from my Square Enix AccountFollow

Okay I have been playing this game since October, earlier today I got the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and had to reinstall everything, no biggie. So I go to log into FFXIV and it is telling me that my account needs to be activated, wtf? So I go check my Square Enix account and FFXIV is simply gone from my Active Service Accounts. It doesn't show up anywhere and I can't find any history of it. I figured okay maybe I have to re-link it for...who knows why, so I try that and BAM "Registration code is already in use"

Seriously wtf? Has anyone else had a problem even remotely like this? If so how did you get it resolved. And yeah I'm trying here first because Square's customer service sucks and doesn't work weekends.

Nope, I haven't heard of anyone with this problem. I hope for your sake that it's just a bug. But if not, good luck with SE's customer support.

I've dealt with them before, and I'm far from satisfied. =/

Sounds like your PC had viruses out the wazoo. Generally when you get BSOD its because of various harmful software. It's very possible that your account was cleaned out and deleted, then completely removed from your SE account, which makes the registration code null and void.

Nah I got the BSOD because my hard drive crapped itself and scratched half its sectors. So I doubt my account was stolen.

To the best of my knowledge, you are the first person who has ever had just one part of their SE account "disappear" on them. That generally means that some force other than SE's automated system caused it to be deleted/removed from your account, especially considering that none of your permanent info is stored on your system whatsoever aside from cookies containing your account name and password.

Thanks, I wish they were open on the weekends. I mean from all the billions of dollars they get from their games you think they would be able to afford it.

Well apparently there was a glitch in their system that reset my account deleting everything associated to it. Fortunately they were able to fix it and I didn't lose anything. Very annoying.

Glad to see you got that dealt with, first time I've ever heard of this happening.
