Macro Question - Switching DisciplinesFollow

So I have an eaction macro for Pugilist and Archer. I am looking for the most efficient way of switching and am running into the following

1 - Both classes are different levels so I get a log of "Selected item exceeds your allotted points" type message. Is there a way I can assign a blank in the eaction pallette?

2 - I get a lot of "Unable to remove" type messages when I'm working with multishot, heavy strike, flurry, pummel type abilities.

I've tried to organize my eaction pallettes as such: Strikes and TP in upper left, healing in upper right, TP setup bottom left, and DEF buffs in bottom right.

Any suggestions here?

You could try making a 'reset all' macro where you would just put

/eaction 2
/eaction 3
/eaction 4
/eaction 5
/eaction 6
/eaction 7
/eaction 8
/eaction 9
/eaction 10

Which would clear all skills from your bar. You would use it before switching classes to endure that all the spots are free for the new class macro. I find i get that error when switching from my main to a class with less action points. Generally I just run the skill equippin macro twice and it places in all the skills missed from the first time round

Ya' know, I seem to recall SE mentioning something about a mechanic that would allow saving full action bars as a set, so you could just hit a macro that switches from set 1 to set 2, without the 30 specific commands.

I sure hope they didn't scrap that, because it would sure be nice to have. Otherwise, the current method is a bit cumbersome, and requires that you have several macros and you sometimes have to hit them twice when they don't fully work the first time. It's nothing that can't be dealt with, but it does need some fine tuning for sure. So do the gear swap macros... They need to make those work like they did in FFXI.

I'm sure SE's aware of it though, people have been mentioning it since the beta.. So maybe it's somewhere on their lengthy to-do list, and we can see it added in the not too distant future. I don't mind it not being the top priority atm though. :P

I use a "reset macro" to reset my first two bars. This works well unless you start moving your basic attack around (Light Swing, Phantom Dart..etc) which cannot be directly removed.

I have 4 macros for each class. First is equip weapon and sub only. The next 3 are:

/eaction 1
/eaction 10

/eaction 11
/eaction 20

/eaction 21
/eaction 30

Since every slot is listed, the empty ones clear actions that are unused in another class.

You would need a clear macro as stated above to remove actions when switching from Classes that have varying Action points. To aviod this, I hit the 3 Macros backwards when going to a lower Rank to clear out action slots that will be unused.

It takes along time to cycle thru 30 slots when changing classes. But I don't get that message.
