trial key requestFollow

I don't know if this is against the forum rules, if so I am sorry, I simply cant find anything saying to not request trial keys.

So to put it simple, I have a friend that is interested in trying FF14, tho, he doesn't want to buy the game without trying it first, because of all the negative feedback people keep giving about it, I already gave away my trial key, so I was wondering if anyone here had a trial key they won't use, so he can play and decide on his own if the game is worth the money or not.

Anyway, if I am breaking any forum rule, once again I am sorry, please ignore this thread and delete it.

There is no trial at the moment. What was the trial has now became the full game seeing as there is no subscription, but even then, asking for that is against TOS.

If he wants to try it and is your friend why don't you let him play on your character to see if he is going to like the game. Just a thought. Highly doubt with a next to nothing post count that you will find anyone that is gonna give one up. Best of luck with hunting one down though ^^

I found the game for $29.99 and just bought it for my friend as a gift. He played it for 10 minutes lol.

I know someday he'll log on with me again ^^; One can hope. Come on SE!

^^ I "did", haven't played in about a month. Was in the top100 in all the servers before I decided to throw in the towel.

In short, behold the power of "unemployment"!!!!

No, it's not against the ToS. I'm not sure where people are getting that from, but the whole idea of a buddy pass is to give it away.

Well thank you for the clarification and for the replies, I also thought it would be a mission impossible to ask for a buddy pass now, considering it has been so long since the game came out, but I told my friend I would try, so here I am trying :P

:)

So seeing as how its not against the tos to ask is there anyone with extra buddy passes? I am very interested in playing ffxiv but I couldn't afford to buy it and only recently learned its pretty much ftp for now.

Having the ISO and a Buddy Pass is no different then buying a copy of FFXIV. I have been playing since Sept. 22nd on a Buddy Pass from the CE. Not sure if anyone would just give -basically- a free copy of FFXIV away to someone they don't know.

But I do wish you luck, and hope your friend likes the game! ^^

If this is true, then it's probably a better deal to buy a CE at $50 than the SE at $30, since you essentially have two full copies of the game - plus CE stuff, right?

To my knowledge it's not against the ToS, however many are growing tired of seeing it all the time. Someone signs up on the foruns just to ask for a buddy pass and then they never post on the forums again.

YEAH, this type of comment will get you a pass. Just buy the game and stop trying to get something for free.
