Camera change in last patch?Follow

First off, I play with a PS3 controller.

I used to be able to move my right joystick to the floor when I was sitting or kneeling to do a synthesis, and the camera would get right up close. You could even do it standing or fishing. I believe I have plenty of screenshots to prove it.

Now it seems like it'll only get so close.

Additionally, if I did accidentally roll the mouse wheel to change the camera distance, I could always do an R3 on the controller to reset the camera to where my configuration was set. Now, it seems like rolling the mouse wheel resets the camera, and the R3 button will just flip you between 1st and 3rd person, but it doesn't reset the camera distance to the configuration setting.

Anyone else experiencing these things? Is there any way to report the behavior to them, seeing as they don't have official forums?

Thanks :)

u need to use O, and P, or Atl O/P to set the camera. I have also noticed you can move the camera further away in 3rd person mode.

this is a behavior they intended to happen, it is in the patch notes, as people obviously complained about it happening, dont know why as I also used it to move the camera in.
you can use the numpad 9 and 3 to move the camera as well if that helps.

That is really nasty, because it took functionality away from the controller. I'll go read the patch notes again. The only thing I saw about the camera had to do with fighting mobs or some such thing.

That was a 'really' convenient way to adjust the camera and reset it with the controller. Wonder what so many people were doing that caused enough grief to make the change?

Thanks for the replies (I was watching this thread, but got no emails, maybe a premium feature of the forum?)

Peace

Edit: Nope, just see this: "Camera distance settings will no longer change during combat when locked onto a target in third-person display mode."

I don't suppose there's any way to set up an additional multi-key combination on the controller to do zooms? :(
