Tired of invisible mobs one shotting my DOL nowFollow

This has just happened again today and happens with annoying regularity.

I am mining in Bloodshore just north east of the camp at coords 38,19. I am outside, not in a cave no where near any agro.

Suddenly - I am dead with this little gem in the battle log

The salamander's Circlespark hits you from the left for 2743 points of damage.

WTF - I saw the spell come through the wall.

Is this happening to anyone else at all. As I have now been killed multiple times by mobs not even on the same map - or in an underground area but still have godly shoot through wall ability.

I understand high lvl mobs patrol these areas - you can see those and nothing was on screen

This happens pretty frequently when I get too close to the cave walls between Horizon and Nophica. Usually it's some Puroburos that one-shots me through the ground. I chalk it up to clipping and lag issues although it's kind of annoying to suddenly die without ever seeing it coming.

I know right? They need to design their lag better! ****!

Seriously though I do notice lately mobs tend to not show up despite clearly being there which seems the server is having trouble loading them as well as loading the different areas ever since they segmented the maps into different zones. I tend to get killed by enemies not loading on the same map rather than below/above me.

Ah actually having mined the area some more now - I can see it roaming.

Presumerably it was server lag - very very weird as every mob and orange dot appeard for all the goats / crab in that area. Strange the salamander did not - i'm hardly likely to stand next to a creature type that I know 100% agro.

I have also been one shot in caves and in the areas syl mentioned and I assumed today was another of those instances - probably wasn;t though

Oh well - i'll chalk it up to Ninja Eft getting his payback for his younger relatives from Treespeak :/

Every time I get one shotted in this game I think I of how great sneak and invis made FF11 .Getting spit on and dying by a high level mobs even if your running just makes us stay in safe areas.North of Blood shore that annoying Salamander was added a few "patches" ago but through wall one shot is a whole other level of disappointment.

That sounds really annoying! I've noticed something similar to that, albeit on a less vexing scale. In the Mun-Tuy Cellars, there are a lot of little rooms tucked away behind closed doors that have mobs that aggro in them. To open the door, you must get close and interact with the menu, the door doesn't just open automatically. However, the mobs can and do aggro before you even get close enough to interact with the menu.

Needless to say, I had what probably looked like a rousing battle with a door.
