Solo sp has changed a bit, in that mobs that are over your current rank give better sp (and this part may not be correct) I believe mobs that are lower give a little less.

He's right.

Farming "easy" mobs isn't the best SP anymore.

Doblyns will still give better SP for solo (only solo) but you need to pick Doblyn that con orange -> red to you for best SP/hr. Depends on your class, those doblyns might pose a challenge (not so much for Archer Multishot).

I think that I get slightly better SP solo than before the update.

Yeah, mobs just under the blue mark actually give more SP than they did before. Anything higher just gets better. The update helped everyone overall.

You ask as if we have a choice.

If left up to me I'd never venture out alone. As it is however, at least at the levels I've spent the past weeks at, nobody is grouping up. I spend my time actively seeking out and asking for groups, yet no one seems to be willing. Granted I'm only in the high teens / early 20s, but do you know how frustratingly slow it is to grind out those levels solo knowing that just a few fellow interested adventurers could do it in a fraction of the time?

Stay after behest and start a leve before party gets disbanded, and you got a nice party ready :) easy to do lots of partying that way :p oh yah, if you dont pick up leves, that might be a reason :o leve parties are the most popular after all.

Sorry to hear that, you have an LS? Duoing is really viable and it isn't THAT hard to find someone else who would rather duo than solo. It can be helpful to ask at the end of a behest if anyone wants to team up... otherwise, yeah I've just had good luck that way. Actually I went into copperbell today to join up with a friend and his friends and someone just gave me an insta invite when they saw me at the crystal (but I was totally in level range for the grind area)

Also, some people DO use the party search function, so if you want company it is worth a shot putting up a party flag for people to join you.

I'd say solo play is quicker now, at least the rank bar seems to fill up quicker for me. The other day I was doing a two star leve solo at Cedarwood on 21 CON and was getting 700 SP a kill. SP might come slower when you're out of leves, but I don't know. I haven't leveled off of non-guildleve mobs very much since the patch.

I've played mostly solo since Christmas, but I have two friends starting this week, so I'm stoked for that.

Finding a duo partner would probably invigorate me to play again.

Next time you log in, go to a camp for people your rank... then join behest. While in behest, check people's ranks using the party menu. Note who is near you in rank. After behest happens, if they didn't act like a total tard, send them a tell asking if they want to duo. Either have leves to share, or a good SP camp in mind.

It takes a little effort but I haven't had much trouble making friends, even outside my LS.

It does really help to get an LS, however.

Yeah I have done that, but I've been unlucky as those players tend to just disappear never to be found again. I suppose I could give it another try.
