First let me say that I am aware that this discussion can degenerate quite easilly and as such would like to please adk everyone to be as polite and as constructive as possible and abide by my "rules"....

As we all have noticed there is a large number of things that people would like to have added or fixed in FFXIV, what I'm trying to get is a list to prioritize all these issues and who knows maybe then make a post on the Feedback forum with a final result.

Each person posting has two options, either add a new item to the list or move one of the existing items 1 place up or down the list.

Adding Items: You can just copy paste the last post and insert your choice anywhere in that list, only one item can be added.

Updating Items: You can copy past the last post and change one item either one place above or below. You can do so to only one item and may not add one.

To prevent personal competittion between posters, one can only reply to the thread once there has been at least 5 posts since they last posted on this thread. I will open an exception to myself so that I can "moderate" this thread in case someone doesn't abide by these "rules" but will not use those posts to add or modify the list at those times.

In regards to the items themselves I would ask the person including them to be as detailed as possible so we all understand them and don't cause any confusion or mis-interpretations and then when updating the list to have a short description.

To start I think that the most importatnt thing the game needs at this time is the inclusing of mid rank content, probbaly NPC quests in which characters can raise their fame or status with different factions with the game enabling more lore and imersion.

Nice idea, hope it works.

I would add more jobs, particularly another DoM. I would rate this below your idea in terms of importance

Can we please copy past the list as it stands on previous post?

@ RebirthFlames, can you please explain specifics and assign a place in the list?

I'd like to see more areas with interesting landscape and original features (destroyed villages, sand beaches, mountains to climb etc...) in them (for the sake of just exploring or screen picture taking). I wouldn't prioritize that too much but would be a nice addition.

My hunch is that you can't really get fun, immersive, complex quests without the interesting landscapes and original features you described (and you certainly can't get immersive instances without them). That's a problem, because that means quest development (and at this point content = quests) is dependent upon extensive graphics development, which is expensive and time-consuming.

Also - are you in a linkshell called Tantalus? I had a guild on Aion called Tantalus (a very, very small guild).

I am indeed in a LS called Tantalus, I have no clue about it's relationship with the Tantalus from Aion as I have never played it ^^. About the rest, I only can say that you can then copy-paste my post and change the order if you think it's needed ^^. That's within the 'rule' of this thread.

I don't think another DoM class is as important as more content/ more complex quests (not to say it's not a great idea, because it is). I have an idea I'd like to add too, but I'll wait 5 more posts to add it, per the rules of this thread :)

Personally I though this was agood iead so that everyone could actually make a contructive thread.

It appears that it's much more intresting to complain about something than actually doing something about it.

So I have come to the understanding that SE has fixed a ton of problems with this game, but I am just wondering how much of the game have they fixed so far? Is it much more playable now? I just wanted to know because I have been wanting to play this game for months now but everyone keeps telling me not to because of the bugs and I am hoping that some of these bugs are fixed so that I can get on this game and play. Also it is saying that this post of mine could be a necro post, what does that mean?

I'm just putting one item on the list, because for me it's the most important..

- Linkshell administrative options. The only thing keeping me from playing this game a lot more is that I lack a good linkshell... and the one good ls leader I've found (a very cool guy) only wants to take players who log many hours/week because of his inability to remove inactive members, thus taking up valuable space in the ls.

Patch 1.18 was really very good... and a lot of people have come back to the game to give it a try. I have a bad feeling many will be dismayed by how hard it is to find good, casual linkshells, or even mildly hardcore linkshells.

Lol
I think the only thing that I would want this game to fix is keyboard shortcuts, I want to just press "I" and be in my inventory rather than dig through a menu system.

You can in the configuration menu. I have I set to inventory, J set to journal, E set to equipment, and much, much more!

Personal Story Progression
Put the Fantasy back in Final Fantasy. By this I mean 100% unigue story per class. A personal story in context with any FF offline story. Any non mmo FF fan should be able to log on, know that all that mmo jargon exists for grouping. But progression from level one thru 50 plays just like any other FF they have played when they aren't doing the mmo stuff. The current playerbase wanted guildleves relegated to solo lower sp anyways. So use these for highly immersive scripted quests designed for 1-3 players in the style of an offline FF.

I would also really like more class specific content (job story/origin quests; class specific gear; etc). This is typically some of the most interesting content in MMOs for me. It introduces lots of characters or gives existing plot characters more depth outside of major plot lines.

Something else I always liked to do was solo a job that wasn't necessarily for soloing because it was a challenge. Solo class specific guildleves (solo so they can be tuned to the appropriate difficulty) would be something I could enjoy.

Oh? So it is just like controller config now, and I can just assign keys? That is actually pretty cool.

As a side-note, Tantalus is a well-known king from classical mythology, so it's not a surprise to encounter his name across different games. Tantalus is ultimately punished in Hades by having food always just beyond his reach - his name is therefore a brilliant metaphor for the "carrot-on-a-stick" MMO genre in general.

I'll add an actual auction house. They have crafts set up really well so an economy will thrive with people making what they're good at and buying parts from other people, but they need an AH for that to work. That one railroad spike is missing and jamming things up. Instead, crafts being so complex are a major hindrance.

There is actually an Auction House in-game in LL (The building just south of the ferry dock entrance, with the unmistakable sign of an Auction), but I bet it's an Auction House for buying/selling LS owned Ships.

Auction House

My vote goes to a search and lfp option. The one they have now is, although a good idea in concept, too poorly implemented/labled that no one ever uses it. Partying with others is what makes an MMO fun for me, and it's impossible to do so without being able to find other players.

I added that I would like an addition of more towns, because the towns they have now just lack excitement, or any reason to go there really. Maybe a few shops, a guild outpost, something!

Also moved auction house up on the list. a game where the economy is driven by a very complex crafting system needs an AH to disperse goods and create an active money flow. Lets be honest, who is looking for mats for low lvl synths in the market wards?
