Anyone else notice that they sent out the first poll to EVERYONE and this one is only linked through the letter - I wonder if that means they are more interested in what people who actually PLAY the game (or are interested enough to be keeping tabs on it) think about the battle system.

Doubt it. Information travels fast. To think that someone who doesn't play wouldn't find out about it is pretty naive.

Given as how they are trying to get customers to return, I think it would be best if all players (active or inactive) take the poll.

I wonder though - because if someone hasn't really played the game, how can they really diagnose what needs to be changed? Granted there are more general questions on the poll but I don't think that you need a huge sample size comprised of people who haven't played in 5 months to get a good sense of what people think the system needs to be fixed.

I think you may be reading too much into it. I think they're very interested in the opinions of people who may come back if X Y and Z happen.

Its not like they are asking super specific questions. If they were asking "do MRD do too much damage?" yeah that needs to be addressed by people currently playing. Asking "would you like some instanced combat", or "would you prefer smaller groups" can/should be asked of the entire potential population.

I am just thinking...

It has been about 5 months since I played warhammer online.

if you sent me a poll asking "what could Warhammer improve about its battle system?" and gave me a bunch of multiple choice options I don't think that the result would be very meaningful, and I would be very scared if the devs tried to implement "what I wanted" based on those answers...

I mean it is possible I am just more dense than the average person, but I'd like to believe that I am not the only person out there that forgets the niggly details of games I haven't played in months.

I'd also like to note that think doing ANYTHING based on polls is a terrible idea. To be honest I am deeply worried about the future, given these polls.
