Hey guys now that we know thats there's a strong possibility that physical levels will be removed and we are either gonna be allotting the stats ourselfs or it will be automatically allotted I am wondering about the need for those traits/abilities we bought with guild marks that swap INT for STR,MND for VIT etc.. (I may be wrong about which swap which though) since seeing as if in fact it does change and each rank has it's own stats what's the need for them anymore?

I was considering getting some of these, but now I will hold off. They may remove them altogether with or without refunding Guild Marks.

Could be. I'm really interested in what they will do with them now. Gahhhh!

This is a interesting idea although we already have so many stat/dmg modifiers I often wonder that by the time your done buffing up and stacking abilities that when you finally swing/start to cast the mob or you are dead

Uh you know Trait are passive? You don't need to "cast" them.

Yes I know traits are passive but buying stats to me feels kinda cheap unless it was like in FF11 where you used merit points to add attributes to your job atleast there it was a achievement after reaching a certant level and you had to be careful how you added them cause they reflected all jobs

Getting rid of the self-allotment stats system won't change the way stat traits work.

Even if they change it so that your stats are static, depending on your class and rank, the traits will still do what they've always done.

If your rank 30 Conjurer has the fixed stats of:

30 Str
35 Vit
24 Dex
76 Int
75 Pie
72 Mnd

Using the six Str/Vit/Dex -> Int/Pie/Mnd traits will put your stats at

15 Str
20 Vit
09 Dex
91 Int
90 Pie
87 Mnd

They would function exactly the same way they would now.

I know this but what happens after this one time change? It's not like people are going to add STR to a conj or MND to a archer it will be pretty much a one time thing then it's a useless ability that's costed you possibly alot of guild marks

What do you mean one time thing? You realize the traits that can be equipped and unequipped as you please whenever you want?

What I ment was once you used the said skill to move STR to INT and VIT to MND what is the point of the ability then? It not like you will use it again to move them back which is why said it would be a one time use the unequip it and forget about it

It's not a skill, it's a trait. When the trait is equipped, the stats are allocated as such. There's a different slot for traits than there are for abilities.

No.

Your stats will only be swapped as long as you have the trait equipped. When you unequip it, your stats revert back to normal.

So no, it is not a one-time use ability.
