During a typical update, how long after the servers go down do we get the update notes?

They aren't up yet, so perhaps this really is just a long *** "Square Enix Account Management System Maintenance" session.

If so, bummer.

XI is down too and is getting very minor updates. So more than most likely this is just what they say it is, as disappointing as it sounds...

Every service that uses this system is down currently. It could be accompanied by an update, but that's not going to happen they're likely just giving themselves a grace period to allow the system to not collapse the second it comes up as everyone logs in on both games/store with their SE accounts.

Yeah, this is Square Enix account management.
If we're lucky they're removing Crysta, Verified by Visa / 3D whatever crap, and the extra account for billing for FFXIV and making a clean, clear, easy, and quick, method for updating billing info.

Here's hoping at least :D (Seriously how do they expect PS3 users and others to get into the game when it seems like your having to pass an IQ and literacy test just to get in game? Obviously had no prob with it but I've seen a lot of people get turned off by the billing, and its written about in game reviews).

Obviously. Whatever.

Frustrating that they'd do a maintenance on something else, rather than one that will improve the game.

Looks like its maintenance across the board.. not FFXIV specific....

So every time FFXIV or XI went down for maintenance they just shut the server off for a few hours then cut it back on and did nothing?

Smiley: dubious Guess I imagined all of these updates:

Since they were accompanied by server maintenance. Yes you're impatient but we can't deny what you said is false because even if it didn't follow a patch they likely do software/hardware work on the server itself.

How is it that your Classes in your signature banner are not in order by rank?

I have no clue, with the sig generators I use one has em in order and one doesn't. I guess the way I listed them in this one throws it out of order.

As a ZAM subscriber you can chose which classes to include on your sig so I would assume you can also chose the order in which they appear.
