I personally think this is useless, but that is because I don't use the feature. However, a lot of JP players do, so making them happy isn't something I can complain about.

It'd be cool if you could add your lodestone blog to your facebook profile in a tab.

edit: Oh wait, I just remembered killedo off tabs. God FB, stop killing personalization.

Hey, if the Web development team had time to implement this, why not implement it? One part of the dev team shouldn't stop working just because other parts aren't where we want them to be right now.

I could see the blog features becoming popular once this game gets content. Yeah, it may seem useless for now because it doesn't increase the fun factor, but let's try to keep things in perspective. This game needs more than just content, and improving the Lodestone will eventually help players feel more connected to the game, even during times they can't log in.

I like the Linkshell forums. I think they are a great feature. I just know that blogging is way more popular in JP.

Yoshi P is just keeping the promise he made on his list. Anyway I would love the Lodestone to be more functional and this update is the first stepping stone to a better, more useful website.

My biggest problem with this sort of thing (not the people who actually enjoy it, this is personal opinion and experience) is that I did the thingy Bioware had up for Dragon Age Origins. I did it because its use gave you an in game item. So I did the Dragon Age Journeys Facebook quality game and I checked from time to time how my social page adapted, and then I lost interest. I no longer cared that they had a site like Facebook for the game I was playing. I no longer clicked peoples profiles unless they offered some really good sounding advice, then I'd check to see they had a charactor that had achieved sufficient level to offer the advice, but I didn't check it other than that.

Lodestone is becoming like that for me already. If I could check it at work or on my phone I might use it more, but I can't because I don't carry my security token with me every where. So when I'm on the pot I check ZAM. When I need to see some amazing post on the Lodestone, its almost always because I was refered to it in game or on a site like ZAM. I don't hang out there, it's not my home page.

However, I am glad they are offering this functionality. I hope they put the same amount of effort into an advertising campaign once they fix the the game and (re)release it on PS3. As I said I know some will enjoy this, and I'm not so blind as to think HTML coders are from the same pot at quest coders.

I agree. Although with the Linkshell implemention (forums etc) I will remain an advid user of Lodestone for now.

I have to say Loadstone is a great idea that is bland. With the LS i'm in no one uses loadstone, we have our own website. I may just be me but all we have now is Grindfest and NM fights. I would really like to see loadstone be the #1 source/place people gather. With the exception of our LS website keeping track of our points for claims and such. Would be nice if SE added a place within your LS on loadstone you can Make a spread sheet for events and points for attending LS events, But thats why we have our own LS website.

As pessimistic as the above sounds, it did make me laugh on a moody day. xD
